I’ve just joined this group. I’m not quite sure how it works but I’m sure I’ll soon find out. I’ve lost 5 stone over the last few weeks but I’ve now slowed really get down and I’m now just at the very edge of obese. I’d love to loose another stone. I put myself on 1200 calories a day recently but after an initial 4lbs I can’t seem to loose now. I tend to use the majority of my calories in my dinner. Is this a bad idea.

The reason you're not losing weight is probably that you're eating too little and have slowed your metabolism. This will explain healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...
This is a great place for information and support. A good place to start is by joining a weekly weigh in and using the Daily Diary, where members share their meal plans: you'll find them, and all other forum activities in our Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...
I hope you'll become an active member and take advantage of all the forum has to offer
PS I would advise against posting a photograph without locking your post i.e. making it viewable only by members of this forum. If you read our Welcome Newbies post, which is the first of the Pinned Posts, you'll see a note about Privacy and Security, which explains further.
Thank you Brudge Girl I’ll look at that. I’ve just re read my question and realised that I said I’d lost 5 stone over the last few week I should have written years not weeks
Ah, that's different However, 1200 calories is still likely to be too low. If you go to the NHS BMI calculator, you can get the correct range for your height, weight, age and activity: aim for the middle or upper end of the range and see how you go.
But first, read the first link I've given you to understand why eating too little is a problem
Click on the link I've given you for Pinned Posts. That takes you to a list of posts. Welcome Newbies is the first one. As you scroll down you'll see the current weigh in (there's one each day) and Daily Diary.
Do some exploring and you'll soon find your way around
To remove or change the photo, click the "more v" right under your post, and select the option "edit". Then you can change "weeks" to "years", change the privacy settings and remove (or replace) the photo.
Hi, don't use the app. It's a waste of space as it doesn't give access to the whole site. Use the website healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... , whatever device you're using
Welcome Grannybel and well done on the weight loss! I am guessing that possibly you may quite short? I'm only 4ft 8" and have to keep calories really low to achieve loss now plus I try and exercise every day - earn about 500 extra calories that way.
Weight loss now is extremely slow (been about 5lbs so far this year) but I'm happy to achieve the loss slowly and surely.
I only eat 2 meals a day - lunch at midday (tends to be a salad, around 400 calories) and then my dinner at 5pm (500 calories). I use the rest of my calories for the odd snack, treat and hot drinks.
i'd look at my net diary on the app store its free to use and it helps you loose weight slowly i have started to use it and its so easy all i have to do is scan the bar code and my fod pops up and if ts nt on there can scan it and create stuff
Well done, that is amazing. I am struggling with weight loss at the moment. The lock down doesn't help as I just get so bored and fed up. I once lost 7 1/2 stone, and the last stone took longer than all the rest. Fortunately, I don't have as much to lose this time, but it just seems so hard.
