Lots of great advice on this forum to help a happy life (though health).

I'm sure someone will be along with some more links and good luck. The biggest step is to start.

Hi and welcome, Sel1980 :)

If you have an underactive thyroid, then I advise you also join the Thyroid UK forum for some excellent advice, because if you're not optimally medicated, then weight loss will be difficult. healthunlocked.com/thyroiduk Anxiety and weight gain are classic signs of being undermedicated.

We have another member, LottieMW who also has hypothyroidism and has lost 2 stone following a Low Carb High Fat way of eating.

All of the information you need about the forum can be found in Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... and I hope you'll be joining all the Events, Challenges and Clubs that we run, especially a weigh-in and the daily diary.

If you haven't already taken it, here's a tour of the forum healthunlocked.com/?tour=true

We've found active participation to be key to successful weight loss and, of course, it's a good way to get to know people, find inspiration and share support and encouragement.

Wishing you all the best :)

Welcome!

Please follow moreless’s suggestions, and join a weigh in day for lots of support. Pick the best day for you...you can post today (before 9pm) on the Monday MassMovers...(I’m there!), or pick another day if that’s better for you.

Definitely join the Thyroid Forum here too.

I had a big health wake up call in January...hypertension, hypothyroidism, and type 2 diabetes. BMI was 30. Joined all the forums, started a low carb/healthy fat way of eating...and just got my 2st weight loss badge today! Just a few more weeks and I think my BMI will be in the healthy range!

Also look at the Fitness/activity forums on here too!

Good luck...you’ve made a start with your first post!

❤️

Thank you. My bmi is 43 I'm really scared about this. Been on thyroxine 20 years but since the birth of my children I haven't been able to shift any weight. I was a couple of stone lighter before them. I will join the Monday group and the thyroid one. Thank you for your suggestions. I've spoken to my doctor today regarding my anxiety which is through the roof at the minute due to the current situation and being a key worker. I have a medication review tomorrow x

It’s very stressful at the moment true. What go you do? I’m a part time community midwife...luckily for me all the women are screened before I see them.

I’m off up my allotment now (do you see how I got my name here 😉) and will catch up on the Monday Mass Movers posts later ❤️

I will try. Not sure i could do everyday. I work shifts (on nights tonight 😩) so unfortunately I have very odd meal times at times which I don't think helps x
