Absolutely JanPez - I know that I am able to manage and sustain my own weight loss efforts, but my role here is absolutely to share with others what I have learned along the way (7 years) and about the changes I have made to my diet and behaviour around food. Without these kind of permanent changes, there is no doubt I would be back on the "Yo-yo" wagon!

Hi Pineapple, I don't know why we do it to ourselves! Sugar for me is the demon, if I don't have it I'm fine, once I have a bit of cake or a biscuit I can binge all day

Hi, do you have an idiots guide on how to lock all posts? When I set up my profile earlier I clicked on the wrong one. I’ve seen the screen shots of what it looks like, but I don’t know how to get to that point

Read the last link moreless has given you and that will explain ☺️

in reply toJanPez

Hi, its quite easy. The link tells you exactly how to do it.

Basically, at the end of your post you will see two buttons, one under the other. Like this:

Post to

○ everyone

○ people in my community

Click the bottom one.

Hope this helps

Oh I thought you could set it up so that all your posts are locked, that’s why I couldn’t find the correct screen. Thanks

Hi JanPez, back on 28th of December, having eaten my third box of orange chocolate honeycomb, I decided enough was enough and swore off free sugar including alcohol. I comforted myself with large slabs of bread and butter for about three weeks, but then without even thinking about it I started to make healthier choices. On the 31st of March I stopped all snacking between meals. I now work out every day,and although I still have a ways to go, I am completely and utterly determined to do it. I credit it all to giving up the sugar and I'm never going back on it again. I don't even miss it and that after decades of sugar addiction. That's been my journey at least. Good luck with yours. I feel sure you'll make it! You sound in the right place and doesn't it feel great?

Hi, JanPez , Welcome.

I put on weight after the loss of my late wife, 2½ years ago.

I was disabled for about five years, but I have been able to lose four stone before my seventieth birthday. See:

Hi S11m, thanks for that information, very informative. When I was younger I never had a problem with my weight - I used to eat once a day. Unfortunately that changed when I used to feed my young family 3 meals a day. It’s only when IF came to light when I realised why my weight changed. It’s very difficult to get back to one meal (especially as I own a cafe and am around food all day) but I am trying to get back to it

That’s definitely the way to go janpez I find that even if I just read a few posts every day I am more likely to stay on track.

Good luck 😊
