Having lost 9 stone, does anyone know how I get to lose the wobbly fat I have around the middle? I am doing press ups etc, but nothing seems to shift it☹️Any advice would be much appreciated . Thanks

Seems to me, that wobbly fat could be one of 3 things:
1) visceral fat, that needs to go. What's your waist:height ratio?
2) loose skin. Your skin can take longer to spring back than it took you to lose the weight. I haven't much experience of this, but only so much can be done. It takes time, and some people end up getting cosmetic surgery to fix it.
3) you have little core muscles. Press ups won't help. Check out this page healthline.com/health/Best-... or Google for core exercises.
Many thanks for your help. I tried to look at the web site you listed, but says it is not available☹️I think I would need to undergo surgery to remove the excess.
Well done on your weight loss. As suggested by SB I googled core exercises and got this coachmag.co.uk/fitness/core...
amongst others. Need to try them out myself too 🥵
Cheers. I googled a lot about this a while ago. If you do the same, you will find some suggestions of things that may help, that you can try.
I wouldn't give up yet, especially if you lost the weight quickly. It will take your body a while to reabsorb the no-longer-needed tissue. I have seen theories that dry brushing your skin and fasting to increase autophagy might help, but be cautious fasting during the Pandemic as you don't want to compromise your immunity. Also, do not take medical advice from me, I am just a googler. Do research or talk to your doctor. I am just giving you ideas of things you can research.
If you can get to that health line website later, it seems pretty good; going from beginner exercises to advanced. But there are plenty of websites if you search for "core exercises". The basics are crunches, planks etc. They are simple exercises that get surprisingly hard. Planks are amazing, you just do one and hold it for as long as you can. At first it will be a few seconds but soon you will have measurable progress.
Good luck and congratulations on the weight loss.
(again, I have no expertise nor experience, but I am trying to offer you what I have gleaned. Take my "advice" with all the caution you should with any unqualified stranger on the internet)

If you haven’t been doing core exercises you may need to start with a few basic ones and make sure you’re doing them correctly before progressing to things like stomach crunches.
Now this may look daft but post natal exercises are a good place to start...there is a lot of loose skin after that baby comes out!
Here’s a link to the Certified Physiotherapists leaflet...
pogp.csp.org.uk/system/file...
...core starts about page 11 I think.
Once you have mastered the correct technique you can move on to more advanced exercises.
Wikihow has core...
or you can join the plank challenges on here (plankety plank),
or try yoga...

Hope this helps and well done on 9st!
Hi and well done on your amazing weigh loss. I too have lost over 11 stone and had the same issue. I decided to have a tummy tuck as I had tried everything I could to get rid of the flab, all I can say is I had the surgery on 2 December 2019 and it has been the best decision of my life and would recommend it but only as a last resort. Best off luck my surgeon did say due to the stretched skin there is not really any exercise that would have helped, hope this helps 😀
