bless your heart baby, you look thin already! anyway, welcome to this forum. we are wonderful at support and all that jazz! I'm not sure what is PCOS? I have severe depression and am so chubby I have no knees ( not really but it seems so sometimes). I recommend exercising in water, water aerobics is wonderful and not going to hurt you. do you have much to lose? your pic does not show and you are so cute anyway! so, what I do is use a smaller plate and lesser portions. I am losing about 2 pounds a week which sounds slow but the slower the more you keep it off. I have managed to keep off 16 pounds so far at 2 pounds a week and I am feeling better already. I also recommend the newbie club where you will find all kinds of great advice. keep posting and reading and any questions you have will be answered. Welcome Danielle!
i actually weigh about 20st which if i’m honest i don’t feel like i look like i weigh that much which is strange, PCOS is polycistic ovary syndrome, which are like cysts on your ovaries and it can make you infertile i haven’t been tested for fertility just yet as i still feel like i’m too young but it can make weight loss very hard, you will find most women with PCOS will be of the bigger size no matter how hard they try to loose it and about the no knees i understand what you mean with that because i have the exact same thing!i have no knees either lol but you seem like you’re doing very well!so i’m hoping i’ll be able to do as good as you. I will also look into the newbie page, thank you ☺️
sorry about the thin remark, your pic is just really pretty. I have struggled with weight loss my whole life so you are so smart to start early. I know how difficult it is to try to lose weight and not be able to walk it off which is the easiest form of exercise, but those of us with no knees will have to figure out different ways to do so! I do highly recommend a pool if you have one close, the warm water and slow non-impact exercise is not only good for you but feels wonderful. Welcome to this place!
Hi and welcome, Danielle
All the research seems to lead to a low GI diet for the management of PCOS, so no refined carbs, especially sugar, or processed foods, is the way forward. If you join our Daily Diary, you can get assistance with your menu planning.
I'd like to invite you to join our Newbie Club, which we hope will be a good place for you to connect with members, who are also just starting out. If you just post a few words to introduce yourself and respond to others there, you'll soon break the ice. Here's the link

Hey Danielle,
I have no experiences with PCOS, but I do have experience with depression and weightloss.
I totally get that during a depressive episode it can be difficult to lose and even maintain weight especially with energy levels and appetite changing so often - If you need anyone to talk then I will be here, it's nice having someone who can understand your troubles.
For weightloss purposes I got a little journal and starting tracking stuff i've done that day. A sort of habit tracker, especially with things I'd tend to forget to do when I'm depressed, like eat enough fruit, drink enough water, go for a walk, go outside etc. If you need any inspiration I can send you pictures of mine or if you pinterest bullet journal habit tracker or weightloss you will find some cool idea
I like using it to track my weight and exercise and measurements too. it sounds complicated but it is very simple and straightforward.
Good luck with everything
hello abbie! thank you for your comment and a journal sounds like a good idea, if you would be able to send me some pictures that would be brilliant! i can’t do much exercise until my knees have healed abit more so i’m just really cutting down on my calories and watching what i eat, but thank you for commenting i appreciate it☺️
