Hope this site helps you to feel more positive about yourself. Sorry to hear you have anxiety. Once you follow the 12 week plan/advice you may feel more positive.

Anxiety is very debilitating but you are amongst friends here.

As a peer to peer support group we rely on mutual encouragement, and nothing beats joining in, reading posts and replying to others. Our group Weigh-in and the Daily Diary are probably the best places to start.

If you haven’t already then please read the Pinned Posts here healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... Please read it carefully so you can find all the information you need to find your way around.

Best wishes in your weight loss journey

Hi, katie-beard , welcome.

If you "slim smart" weight loss is not so hard! It is not all about motivation and masochism.

Some of us here find that what works is a combination of The Low Carbohydrate, High-Fat (LCHF) diet (see the forum here on Health Unlocked) and Not Snacking All Day AKA Intermittent Fasting (IF). See:

Hello katie-beard and welcome to this lovely place where you will feel supported and encouraged in your journey. Anxiety is very real and can be stifling, but with support you will be able to get your eating under control, feel better about yourself and in time be proud of how you look. One day at a time is the only way. Good luck!

Hello and welcome Katie, good to have you on board. Anxiety affects you so much so I hope that today you are feeling a bit more confident and less anxious. Take it slowly and you Will begin to feel better. It is also easy to reach for the comfort food to try to stave off the anxiety. I’m following the low carb diet, only a week in so have lost 2lbs this week. So Katie wishing you all the best for this week and be kind to yourself. Take care

Katie-beard, give yourself a huge well done. Anxiety and depression are awful states to be in. I’ve been there myself, but your taking positive steps to change your situation. It won’t happen overnight, baby steps dear. Try to get out for a walk, if you’re able, a book which helped me was Your and your Nerves’, by Dr Claire Weekes. Very simple explanations of why you feel the way you do, and how to recover. It might be out of print, but local library might find it for you. 🤗🤗🤗🤗
