I really don't think there are any magic pills. One of the ones they are selling which is Reductil was available on the NHS but I believe it has been withdrawn as it's considered too dangerous.
If you can cope with cutting down and cutting out junk food you should be able to lose weight without any pills.
If you google a few sites you should be able to work out how many calories you should be eating to lose weight and then you can start working on that. Or download the NHS 12 week plan.
I believe that exercise isn't essential to lose weight so start reducing your calories to a point where you can lose 1 - 2 lb a week - that is a healthy loss.
Good luck
Welcome. Don't take pills. Adjust your portion size. change what you eat and the weight will come off. Get some support from thus group.
If it was that simple, this site wouldn't exist, we'd all have popped a few pills, donned our size 8's and trotted off into the sunset
I'm afraid the reality is that we have to eat sensible portions of healthy nutritious food, ditch the junk and get off our backsides and move more. We're then rewarded on the scales and more importantly with the feel good factor.
I wish you every success on your journey to health and happiness
Hey i know its easier to take these pills ive done so myself i took adios and while i lost to begin with, soon as i stopped i gained it all back and then some. It is possible to lose weight without strenuous workouts. Watching what you eat and increasing something simple as the amount of walking you do can work wonders.
You won't lose weight if you have that attitude. Losing weight is about exercise and changing your habits completely or the weight will just go back on. I wouldn't buy any tablets off the internet as they are either duff or dangerous or a scam.
Exercise is beyond dull, but I think the hardest part is just persuading yourself to do it in the first place - for me going to the gym or going to a class is like trying to walk with someone pulling me back
but once I am there I am happy and enjoy the session - sadly I cant remember this feeling when I go through the 24hr process of moaning that I don't want to exercise
the easiest way to lose weight with no pills or exercise is to just eat meat and veg - send your body into ketosis and let it use your fat for fuel
however it does mean you end up with your own personal rain cloud of despair as you walk past ice cream shops, bakeries & McDonald's. You will eventually give up and gain all the weight back and possibly more (my life story after lighterlife)
pills might work as a placebo but likely not much else
I have lost 17lbs without exercise so far in 8 weeks so it can be done!
often exercise is hard or dull or boring because you haven't found an activity to suit you or maybe you feel self-conscious when your bigger - so try without exercise until you feel confident to try
often its mind over matter, try cutting down on snacks or record all your food - it will give you an idea i.e am I really hungry or just eating for the sake of it
also telling yourself you are full rather than waiting on your tummy telling you is very helpful
Even the thought of pills scare me.
I'd rather tie bungee cords from my wrists to my ankles.
Ditch the junk and watch your portion size. Cut out the snacks.
There are no short cuts.
A student died because she took diet pills from the Internet. Please don't even think about it.
Have you heard about Reductil Sibutramine slimming pills? It is an appetite suppressant that is claimed to help users to eat less. I was on 15 mg of Reductil a while back. My appetite has decreased dramatically and I have lost 16.5 kg in 4 months with absolutely no exercise. I'm very pleased. If you're curious, I've got my pills from meridiareductil.com. I hope this helps you.
