Looking to try the LCHF as a last resort!

Hi all, I am a newbie. I would like to know the specifics of the low carb high fat diet, the induction phase and weight loss phase meals and what to eat at these stages, perhaps a meal plan for these stages if that's ok. Looking for a sustainable weight loss, and determination to see it thru this time. Feel I lack self control. Sometimes feel resentment at having to not eat things I enjoy and then lose motivation and stop watching the scales. I would be grateful for your support please. Thanks

Hi 24s8 and welcome :)

For more specific advice, you may be better off on the lchf forum... healthunlocked.com/lchf-diet

Many of us here follow lchf at varying levels, with many not bothering with the induction phase. You can catch lchf daily menus here (more will be added during the day)... healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

The lack of self control may be driven by too many carbs (certainly was in my case) and removing/reducing them has led to a level of food serenity that I didn't think was possible.

Join in with this forum as well as the LCHF forum and you will learn lots and have 24*7 support from the most friendly, helpful and knowledgeable people you are likely to come across.

Best of luck! :)

Hello and welcome to the Weight Loss forum, 24s8 :)

Tiggerr has given you a good pointer to the lchf forum, and you'll also find plenty of members here following that way of eating.

Explore this website. It offers a free two week trial but most of the information and recipes are free anyway - I've never paid for anything dietdoctor.com/low-carb

There are some meal plans on this blog from a GP fatismyfriend.co.uk/

Give it a go. You have nothing to lose - except whatever you have to lose :D

You'll find all our forum activities in Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... and I recommend joining a weekly weigh-in team and using the Daily Diary, as Tiggerr suggested.

All the best :)

Hi, Hidden , welcome.

Low-Carbohydrate, High-Fat (LCHF) is the best place to start!

If you "slim smart" weight loss is not so hard! It is not all about motivation and masochism.

Some of us here find that what works is a combination of The Low Carbohydrate, High-Fat (LCHF) diet (see the forum here on Health Unlocked) and Not Snacking All Day AKA Intermittent Fasting (IF). See:

Newbies IF FAQ:
