Hi all, I'm a 27-year-old girl who's been struggling with weight issues for some time now. I've tried several diets, but nothing seems to work, and I've been considering weight loss pills as an alternative. Unfortunately, most of the medications I've found so far are either too expensive or require a prescription, which I don't have.
Can anyone please suggest any weight loss medications that are affordable and don't require a prescription? I'm open to any recommendations and would be grateful for any help.

I’m not sure where you are based and whether you have a Holland & Barrett’s next to you. Many years ago, I was able to obtain some capsules from there which assisted with weight loss. I only took them very temporarily and didn’t see a difference if I’m frankly honest.
I’m not sure if we’re allowed to recommend weight loss tablets/medication on here as I’m a new member. If it’s not, I’m happy for the moderators to remove my post.
You mention that you’ve tried dieting and that hasn’t worked for you. Have you tried exercising at all? Just very simple things to get you started such as brisk walking everyday for 30 minutes for example. Drinking a lot of fluid, particularly water can also be helpful.
Hi Tos92, thank you for your support. You don't mention if you are still on your own weight loss journey, or just visiting our forum, either way is fine by us.
Our forum depends on peer to peer support, with no ads allowed so you're quite correct about that, thanks for complying
I have yet to begin my weight loss journey, hence why I’ve avoided posting as once I start, I’d really like to stay disciplined and motivated to achieve my goal. It is a small amount of weight to lose however, since having a heart attack last year, I’ve gained about 1.5/2 stones and it has taken me above what a normal BMI is for myself. Anything more than 9.5 stones is considered overweight for myself, I’m currently at 10 stone. This is the heaviest I’ve been.
I will do a separate post and introduce myself. I have just been getting used to the forum and trying to understand how it works so I can comply the best I can.
I shall look forward to speaking to you/seeing your posts in the near future.
Hi farelss and welcome to this amazing forum. I suggest you spend some time clicking about to find your way around. It's easier if you have a lap-top as there are several threads.
Have a good read of the pinned post “Welcome Newbies” and follow every thread.

Please dont take medication it’s dangerous and the weight doesn’t stay off. In order to lose weight you need to reduce your calorie intake and increase physical activity 😊
first of all I would like to recommend over eaters anonymous especially if you are feeling desperate. As far as recommending anything to help you lose I take two very safe supplements that support my weight loss. I take 5htp which helps my mood and seems to help me not binge and I take cinnamon which helps keep my blood sugar stable and prevents me suddenly getting very hungry. Neither of these supplements will cause weight loss on their own but support me to eat sensibly.
Hormones regulate diet so avoid triggering those by keeping your blood sugar low and steady. Foods that spike blood sugar are white bread and other wheat based products metabolise into blood sugar and contain gluten which speeds up the metabolisation and is partially addictive. youtu.be/UbBURnqYVzw
