I’ve lost my mojo help !
Hi Tracy,
First thing I would suggest is getting rid of any of the temptations from the house. Then sit down and write a menu plan for the week. Make sure you have everything you need and make sure it’s a really tasty menu. I’m not sure which plan you are following, but make sure you add some good satiating fats, that will leave you feeling full and not wanting to snack.
Now have a plan of action of things to do, every time you think you want something you shouldn’t. Paint your nails, clean your teeth, have a hot drink, take up a hobby that involves using your hands, go for a walk, soak in the bath and read a good book, go to bed early.
Above all else, remember how great you felt when you lost the weight.
Keep engaging here for support, you are not alone. Many people will be struggling to get back on track. You can do it 😊
Thanks lucigret I’ll put the meal plan together tomorrow I think that’s where I’ve been going wrong I’ve stopped planning 👍
It’s where I go wrong too. I plan, but don’t commit to paper and I need to.
Would using the Daily Diary help. If you say your struggling and need support, you will get lots 😊
Hi Tracymed, just to encourage you ‘do something with your hands’ as Lucigret suggested, might I suggest some card making or even something to do with paper crafting.
I engage with this activity and it is quite calming in a strange way, but in a good way. Hope this helps.
I haven’t heard of the daily diary is it on here? but I have a notebook which I filled in was just thinking for tomorrow I’ll dig it out and follow one of my meal plans from this time last year
Hello and welcome back Tracymed 😊
If you haven’t already then please have another read the Pinned Posts here healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... as a few things have changed recently
Good luck!
Hi Tracymed,
I think your first victory is noticing your slide and trying to put a stop to it. There is some great advice people have given you and well done for keeping up the running. I'm starting tomorrow...hopefully. Definitely getting rid of the temptations is a good start, and maybe reflecting on how far you've come is also a step in the right direction. Additionally, why not set yourself some more goals, as you did when you first started and had a high level of motivation. Having short term and long term goals always helps to focus your mind on where you are going and what you want to achieve. I hope that you manage to get back on track and start eating healthily again.
Stay strong.
Hi, Tracymed , welcome.
Eating plenty of good food at mealtimes, including fat, reduces the desire to eat between meals.
If you "slim smart" weight loss is not so hard! It is not all about motivation and masochism.
Some of us here find that what works is a combination of The Low Carbohydrate, High-Fat (LCHF) diet (see the forum here on Health Unlocked) and Not Snacking All Day AKA Intermittent Fasting (IF). See:

Thanks for your reply and your advice I’m vegetarian and find that low carb doesn’t work for me I tried it joe wicks style and ended up putting on Weight So last year I went back to portion control and gave up all the junk which is how I lost the 2.5 stone . So I know i need to give up the junk again which has started today 💪
Oh no. That's disappointing for you. I took all our treats down to the food bank to avoid temptation. Out of sight out of mind. Good luck.
Hoping today went well for you 😊
