Lost my mojo... desperately need to find it.

Hi I started my journey in January and had a brilliant start. I joined the gym, started C25K, cut out alcohol and started to eat sensibly. The weight wasn't going down fast but I wasn't too concerned as I had lost inches as my clothes felt bigger. Then I was struck down with a nasty d&v bug. I didn't eat properly for a week, no gym for 2 weeks and it has just gone downhill from there. I know what I need to do. I've been back to the gym but I just can't get the healthy eating back on track or the alcohol ban - help!

Hello,

I am just coming off the same problem. After doing well and getting into things was struck down with the flu. Spent almost 2 weeks off the program of training, food wise I tried to stick to it.

I don't stress about the alcohol part as we usually have a beer or wine with dinner. I just think that if I am doing enough mostly with the food and exercise that 1 beer shouldn't knock me off the program.

I do understand your problem though as it is tough to get back into this after being sidelined. I say you have done it once so believe in yourself and you will get the mojo back.

Good Luck

Jan

Hi gemini76

Sorry to hear you are having a tough time lately and that you have lost your motivation. Have a look in the pinned posts at the "New year Amnesty" that Anna61 wrote, it may help you get back into the right mind set to continue your weight loss journey.

Hi Gemini, is that your mojo you've lost? Otherwise what's a mono haha? Well I've fallen badly off the wagon today, but I'm here now, baring my soul and confessing all, so if you are here with us, that's a good start!

Why not plan your meals for tomorrow, and not beat yourself up any more about it today. We can both make a fresh start!

Let me know how you get on. 😘

Lol! Thanks Tubbyteacher. .. Yes lost my mojo (bloody predictive text 😁). Tomorrow is another day but the problem is that tomorrow has not been forthcoming lately. I think I'm going to say fresh start Monday and go from there. I love this forum.

Thanks for replies!

Don't forget, you joined us all for a particular reason. Try to think about this and how you would feel if all the weight you did manage to lose before came back on so you ended up coming back to the old you. Maybe this sort of thing would be a good enough push for you to really start again. It would push me enough. Also, even if you are not having healthy foods at least make sure you are not going over your calorie allowance and ensure you include any alcohol you have into your calories too. Good luck 🤞😀
