Hi everyone! Just a little update that I’ve now lost over 2 stone! 🎉 I’ve lost a total of 2 stone 2lbs ( 30lbs ) 🥳 I’m so so pleased and am fully determined to reach my goal weight, hopefully by the end of this year 💓 I’m going strong! 💪🏼 the weight is certainly coming off a lot slower now than at first but I anticipated that would be the case and I think that’s completely normal... or I hope so anyway 🤔 xx

Well done Amber. If you feel you need some more support may I suggest you join in with the Daily Diary and a weekly Weigh In. There are lots of tips and ideas for healthy eating. You will find them in the pinned posts.
Now that you are 2 stone lighter you may want to re-calculate your BMI and adjust your calorie allowance.😏
Ahh that may help, thanks so much for the suggestion! I have been wondering about adjusting my calorie allowance, taking into account my weight & height. I’m now currently in the “overweight” category, however I was in the “obese” category when I started so I’m getting there slowly but surely 💘💪🏼
Honestly I think I have learnt a lot along the way. I’ve certainly learnt that the scales aren’t the only way to measure your progress. I believe progress pictures are a great way of seeing your progress too!
Also..... patience and determination are key. weight loss doesn’t happen overnight it takes motivation and consistency. I have been following other peoples journeys which has massively helped me too. Just so you know you’re not alone and your goals are possible!!
More than anything, it is vital you believe in yourself. Wake up with determination and go to bed with satisfaction is one of my favourite quotes!
My top tip is use the forum! Nothing beats joining in, reading posts and replying to others. Our Group Weigh-in and the Daily Diary are probably the best places to start
If you haven’t already then please read the Welcome Message in Pinned Posts here healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... Please read it carefully so you can find all the information you need to navigate this busy forum, but just ask if you have any questions
Well done for losing 2 stone. You are an inspiration to me. I always start off really enthusiastically and then for some reason the ‘switch just clicks off’ in my brain and healthy eating seems to go out of the window. I have absolutely no idea why that happens. It just does. So I’m telling myself that if you can do it I can too. Slowly but surely. Perseverance and persistence and hopefully I will be able to keep going. Thank you. X
Thanks so much! I’m usually the same, at 16 I’ve had years of yo yo dieting, years of losing & gaining weight. This time, I’m properly in the zone and am feeling the most motivated I have in a long time. I’ve still been eating my favourite foods every once in a while which has certainly inspired me!! It’s nice to know I can still eat treats & lose weight! You can certainly do it, you will get there I promise. It’s just patience and consistency. I wish you the best of luck! You can do this x
Thank you. I think you have hit the nail on the head there by saying that you continue to have your treats. I usually cut out all my treats and replace them with fruit which I do enjoy eating but sometimes fruit just doesn’t hit the spot like chocolate does. Then I start to eat chocolate and can’t stop and give up etc etc etc. I think I will build in some of my treats. My ‘slim’ friend has a Kit Kat every Friday which she looks forward to. I need to change my mindset that I am allowed to have chocolate (albeit small amounts) and not look upon it as a failure and weakness if I do eat it. After all I absolutely love chocolate so why shouldn’t I allow myself to have some? Thanks again for your inspiration. Good luck with the rest of your weight lose journey. If you do struggle some days (you are human!) remember we are here to help each other. X
I completely understand where you are at, I used to cut out “naughty” food completely which would lead to me eating more of it when I was craving a sweet treat. I think that’s a great idea, having a small treat every day! On a daily basis, I still eat small treats but just in proportion! Just think of it like one salad won’t make you healthy, so one McDonalds / or other sweet treat won’t make you unhealthy! I love chocolate too and over the past months..... I’ve still eaten it!!! It is possible, I deffo think it’s all about your mindset. Thankyou so much again, yes I do struggle every once in a while! It’s so reassuring to know the support on here. Good luck with your weight loss journey too, I promise you can get there xx
