I seem to have lost my mojo and I'm trying my hardest to get it back!
I did really well in my first 12 weeks and lost 1st 8lbs however on my second run of 12 weeks of which I am currently at week 8 and have Yo-yoed up and down and have only lost 1 lb π€¦π»ββοΈ!! I've just been swimming and have given myself a good talking to - whilst doing 30 lengths ππΌ I look like a drowning hippo at the best of times without talking to myself as well π
So as of now I'm going to give myself a swift kick up the derrière and get back on the waggon.
Why is it that when you want something so badly sometimes it's so hard to achieve?
As of now everything gets put into My Fitness Pal - swimming twice a week - meal planning - shopping π once a week (not everyday) - and no CAKE π
I'm writing this all down on here to make myself accountable as only I can make this happen - with a little support from my weight loss friends π
Hi Ella, unfortunately yes. My starting weight was 17st 2.5lbs and I'm now 15st 7.5lbs which I'm really pleased with - I feel so much better - my knees have stopped aching and I have a lot more energy. I just need to get going again as I know I have been slacking and the scales show it π My goal is to get to 12st but all in good time.
Sounds like your weight loss has just stalled with s few sticky lbs. try shaking it up a bit by moving a bit more or eating something a bit different or at a different time. Now you weigh less you will need to eat a bit less. The weight will continue to come off I am sure, stick with it. π€
Thanks Ella, I think you're right - stalled is the perfect word ππΌ I'm pleased I haven't gained overall and I'm now desperate to get my 2 stone badge once I've lost 5lbs. Thanks for the advice π
My daughter started at your present weight and is now just under 11 stone- took from last October- about 2lb a week She had to be quite strict- had orange juice and fruit for breakfast an egg and some spinach for lunch and then lots of veg and a piece of chicken or fish for supper. feels much fitter now and able to play sport etc
Thank you blackbeauty - well done on your 2 stone loss ππΌ
To be honest I haven't had time to come on here much recently. I know it's a great source of inspiration and I will definitely try to check in much more π
Your doing a great job! Just keep going no matter what and it will come off. Everything in life that isworth it is harder to achieve. Just look at how much others have lost and let it give you hope. That's what I do.

Thanks Melhall - you're right everyone's achievements do help spur me on. ππΌ
Hello Hidden you have done so well to lose that much. I used myfitnesspal too, so useful. Have you looked at the daily diary on here, if you join in with that it might help too with new food ideas.
Thanks Sailsalot - I think I need to get it in my head that I have to go back to what I used to do when the weight was coming off regularly. Everything that passes my lips needs to go into MFP and I'll definitely look at the daily diary again to get more inspiration π
Do make sure you add everything into mfp. Also don't forget that most of the time the amounts that this is added up to are not likely to be the same as the amounts advised by the NHS bmi calculator which is what your calories are to go by. If you haven't gone by the NHS bmi calculator do make sure you check this out and also the amount changes gradually as you lose weight as well and it is important to eat the right amount. When I first joined here I found out this because I wasn't even eating enough calories at all as I was only eating around 1000 Cals a day. By not eating enough calories you are not going to lose weight because your body thinks you are starving it and turns what you do eat into body fat. This weighs more than eating the extra calories does so it stops you from losing weight and sometimes puts weight on instead.
Thanks HubbysMissMouse - I think it hasn't helped that I haven't been putting most things into MFP! Today I've put everything in and feel so much better about it all π
Mmm bread π such a lovely thing π Well done for cutting it out. I only ever weigh myself once a week on a Sunday morning for the weekly weigh-in, otherwise I'd obsess about it.
