Welcome back, lisao93
Congratulations for all those babies!
I suggest you join our Fit is Fun Club for good ideas for home exercises.
As a reminder, all of the information you need about the forum can be found in Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... and I hope you'll be joining all the Events, Challenges and Clubs that we run, especially a weigh-in and the daily diary.
We've found active participation to be key to successful weight loss and, of course, it's a good way to get to know people, find inspiration and share support and encouragement.
Wishing you all the best for 2020
Good luck lisao93 on your journey!!
I know it is tempting, but I find itās easier to lose weight (for good) by not setting a date or event in mind to lose by. It often results in trying quick fixes, or dramatic diets that are unsustainable and frankly miserable.
Instead of focusing on a goal weight by July, maybe just agree to start your journey today, with the knowledge that if you commit to your weight loss journey you will undoubtably have lost some weight by July and thatās better than weeks of miserable yo-yo dieting, but take off the pressure of a deadline.
Weight loss and maintenance is a lifelong project.
Some at home workouts can include anything that uses your body as resistance so tricep dips on the edge of chairs or press ups (from knee position if full press up not yet practical) then you can also do anything like planks, sit ups, jogging on the spot and lifting your weights! If you have access to YouTube, thereās loads of good tutorials by searching for āhome workoutā.
All the best of luck to you! And welcome
Iām with Herewegoagain on not setting a deadline. For nearly THIRTY years I have been saying I will lose weight for x y z event & then I can wear blah. I have 2 very nice winter skirts in my wardrobe I have NEVER worn & have been writing little calculations each autumn of what I would need to lose each week to be able to wear them āthisā winter. Did any of this help me lose weight? My giant ar$e it did. So this time round, I am trying really hard to forget the fact that I want to be in shape to buy a wetsuit in July, but trying to take each day as it comes & put the right thing in my mouth.
