ok so for a while ive tried to stop eating unhealthy foods but cause i dont eat salad or much vegtables it doesnt really work for me.

i have found a basic diet plan which is 1200 calories a day but was wondering if it is true about the whole water and lemon when you wake up?

If you are still Hungry it sounds as though you need some protein, cheese/eggs/ham/

peanut butter on your toast 😊 Or a small handful of whole nuts (with skin on) as snack mid morning. A milky drink can also help, milk is a good source of protein and vitamins.

I usually have hot water or very weak black tea to start my day, then exercise, then eat 😊 I feel it helps get everything going 😊

Good luck

I don't mind veg I'm not a big fan of vegetables.  I bought a juicer and it really helps.  I buy lots of veg and some fruit.  It makes a green sludge but tastes pretty good.

Last night I had 1/3 cucumber, half a courgette, half red pepper, third a bag of spinach, an apple and a pear all whizzed up with a couple of ice cubes.  Makes about a pint of green sludge and tastes good.  More fruit makes it taste better but I've found a pretty good balance and I'm certainly eating much more raw veggies!

I would add a couple of eggs to your breakfast toast: boiled, poached, scrambled or fried.  Perhaps with baked beans on toast as an alternative.  If you don't want to cook at all, try adding a slice of lean ham plus a slice of cheese.  You obviously aren't having enough protein to get you through the morning.  Would you be happy with a plain yogurt with some fruit added?  Or a skinny latte or skinny hot chocolate alongside your toast.  The protein in the milk should help keep you filled.

If you are happy with the taste of the veg in your smoothies, perhaps you could start moving towards eating them.  Making them into juice takes out all the fibre which is what makes them filling.  Perhaps try cutting your cucumber and red pepper into slices and dipping them into some humus, low fat cheese spread or salsa.  See if you like that.  Courgette grated makes a lovely addition to  casseroles, and rice dishes.  Or you can make it into strips with a veg peeler and mix it in with your pasta.  Carrot matchsticks are another nice raw veg for dipping.  If you are happy eating salads like coleslaw, you could learn to make your own and reduce the fat in the salad dressing you use to make a slimmer's version.

I think the water and lemon thing is just to get you drinking water in the morning and the lemon is to freshen your mouth and give you some vitamin C.  But you're not likely to be short of vitamin C, especially with your juicing.  So have it if you like it and don't if you don't.  There's nothing magic about it.

Is whole grain really so much better than wholemeal? I can't eat granary bread 😕

Thank you 😊 My bread is sooo heavy (I don't have a machine) that you get a very small roll for 50/60g whereas I get two slices of the tesco in store bakery wholemeal Loaf 😊 And I really enjoy bread, 😊
