Hi All. I am a single male with high BMI 47.6 and need to lose weight due to Osteoarthritis and diabetes. I also have a ulcer on my heal and currently wearing two Aircast walkers and supported by crutches. I need good sensible eating advice, none of the fancy stuff. If anyone can help that will be great. Once I start to lose weight then I can look at being more active.

Hi and welcome, Talon71
All you need to do is eat homemade meals, cooked from scratch, using fresh, unprocessed ingredients. Meat (with skin and fat), fish (especially oily), vegetables (mainly above ground leafy greens), eggs, full fat dairy and a few nuts. No bread, potatoes, pasta, rice, sugar. Have a look at these for guidance:

Hi, Talon71 , welcome.
Weight loss is not all about motivation and masochism - if you "slim smart" it is not so hard!
We have been misled by the anti-fat panic for about half a century...
Many of us here find that what works, for weight-loss, diabetes and arthritis, is a combination of The Low Carbohydrate, High-Fat (LCHF) diet (see the forum here on Health Unlocked) and Not Snacking All Day AKA Intermittent Fasting (IF). See:
Hi Talon, Good luck with your weight loss journey. Was in a prediabetic range with arthritis when starting here back in Feb 2019. My blood sugar is now normal and my knees are lots better, probably helped by the altered eating and weight loss. I have found Daily Diary to be my saviour, logging on every day, seeing what people eat, other members saying have you thought of this, the support is fantastic. Just learn a little each day and keep an open mind. Things I thought wouldn't work seven months ago, I now consider vital. I wish you well.
Good luck with it. It is doable. I have the same conditions as you so I know where you're coming from. I've been using my own diet based on lchf. Half protein, double veg and eliminate sugar and carbs as much as possible. Anything else I've reduced by a third to a half e.g. Wine. It seems to be working for me. Good luck.
Meat , veg , fish I have to watch portion size nothing fancy just bog standard food and use a food diary and celery counter
That's calorie counter not celery😁😂😁😂😁
Also welcome
