Haven't been here for a while...

So about a year ago by my reckoning, I joined up to this forum, and managed to lose about a stone and a half! Woooo!

Fast forward a year, I've managed (just!) to keep about a stone of that off, and need to lose another stone to get down to my original target weight.

My new and amazingly supportive other half has about 3 stone to lose, so I figure if he's going to give it a good go, so can I! I found this forum really useful last time in terms of being able to keep my chin up if I'd had a bad day/week health/nutrition/weight wise, and also just to keep me on track - I think that will be much needed now I live on my own!

So, here's so that stone that I need to shed, and bye bye plans of a carbonara for tea hahahah

Starting weight as of today: 9 stone 13.

Hi Rose-A welcome back to us, good luck with your weight loss. The sites administrators have recently changed and we now do weigh-ins Monday-Saturday and you can weigh in on any of these days although currently Monday's is full so any other days you can choose. One of the administrators will contact you shortly.

ah ok cool, I posted on the Monday thread, but Saturday would probably be a good one for me so we shall wait and see :P

Hello and welcome back to the forum Rose-A ☺ It is great that you and your other half are doing this together ☺

There have been a few changes recently, not least with regards to the weigh-in threads. They now run 6 days a week,☺ Mondays are fully subscribed and Tuesdays are looking very busy, but Wednesday - Saturday are available.

As before, you just post your details in the reply box but to lighten the load we ask that everyone responds to at least one other member, ideally the person directly ahead of you on the thread. This is a bare minimum, though and we'd love to see everyone, with their pom poms, cheering as many people as they wish, on as many days as they like ☺

It would make things so much easier for us if you could state your weight, how much weight you've lost/gained/maintained this week and your goals for the week ahead. Other than that, feel free to share any details of your week that you like. ☺

Thanks Anna! I've posted on Monday today, but will probably move to Saturday :D good to be back, and to be back on it!

As you are still one stone lighter than when you joined would you like a one stone 'badge'? These are also new I think since you were last here. They are the little grey boxes next to your name and are very encouraging ☺

☺☺☺ You will get there. I've been chasing 3 stone for months. . . Lol 😆

Why not have the carbonara? For one person, I chop one slice of bacon and dry fry, toss small portion of cooked tagliatelle into the pan and stir in a whisked egg. Done. It's an old Weight Watchers recipe, not sure how many calories, but delicious, filling, nutritious and I wouldn't think its very high cal. Losing weight doesn't have to mean dull food! 👨‍🍳

I just have no control when it comes to portions and pasta :( (yet - I will get there!!)

Weight Watchers recipe sounds good though... I will have to give it a go sometime! :D

Weigh it out in advance. You can't cheat with raw ingredients!
