I am new to this group and looking for all the motivation I can to help get me started to lose weight. I am always exhausted and have aches and pains in my legs mostly. It really is the time to start losing the pounds. I was researching the best ways to lose weight and NHS weight Loss popped up, its so confusing with all the diets out there, points, calories, free foods ect... I am a binge eater and eat chocolate every day and also terrible at meal planning, hoping for some useful easy tips to get started.

Welcome aboard. This is a very friendly and supportive forum.
I know it can be confusing with the many ‘truths’ out there about how to lose weight. I believe you have to find out what works for you, otherwise it won’t be sustainable anyway. Listen to people, but be critical and make choices that feel good for you.
I think the NHS 12 week plan is a great place to start your weight loss journey. Very educational. nhs.uk/live-well/healthy-we... It helped me lose 14 kg and stay there for about a year. Then I got injured and hit menopause, and gained it all back because I stopped watching what went into my mouth.
I’m combining the guidelines in the 12 week plan with a lower carb approach. I don’t think it qualifies as LCHF because I don’t restrict carbs as much as many here, but I select carefully where I want my calories to come from, because fat, protein and complex carbs make me feel better and full for longer than if I fill up on simple cabs.
Good luck with finding out what’s right for you.
