Hi, I am a 50 year old lady, 2 years ago I was told I was at serious risk of developing type 2 diabetes. I decided that if I lost weight then maybe I could decrease the risk, for 12 months I followed a low carb diet and lost 5 stone. I would like to lose just one more stone but at the same time to realise that carbs are not the demons.

Congratulations! I have found reducing the processed carbs has improved my ability to lose the final pounds..... lots of veggies, I now rarely eat bread, pasta, rice - but when I do have these things, I enjoy them much more. Can't eat the same quantities though!
