Hi and welcome, someshine
Sometimes it's the type of food you eat, that makes you eat too much, so I suggest you have a look at this and see if the changes suggested help you

My solution was to cut out sugar potatoes pasta peas and carrots and of course any kind of bread. Eat anything else for a few months and things got way better, spinach broccoli and zucchini are my best buds now. Good luck.
doing much the same gi not been at it long but winning so far its keeping it up and not weakening
Thank you that sounds interesting. Question what do you do with a zucchini? Do you going it roast it?
Thanks for the link
Avoid processed foods and make sure your body is getting the nutrients it needs; sometimes food cravings is a sign your body is short of something.
Also you can try things like exercising before you have breakfast in the morning; not keep bascuits or overly processed foods at home, so if you do snack you'll be eating healthier things.
You could also try replacing your plates with slightly smaller ones to encourage you to reduce your portion sizes if that's a problem for you.
Good luck.
You may like to look up ‘hedonic hunger’...... it’s.... ahem... interesting ...I love eating too, and cooking, and eating, and cooking and eating.... 😉
Hello trierisme, long time no see
I'm not sure where you're at now, so I've given you a restart badge. If that doesn't fit the bill, just let me know
Yes I sympathise as I can be just the same! I know plenty of people just not interested in food and I am quite jealous sometimes!! I find always adding huge amounts of lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes as salads, or simple leafy cooked veggies, broccoli etc to whatever meal I have has helped a lot...at least half the plate, and I've cut out the empty calorific foods like crisps, chocolate, cake etc and weigh anything of higher calorie value to rein in portion size, write it down to remind me what I've eaten, and keep inside the calorie range on the NHS BMI calculator. It's hard sometimes, but keep thinking of where you want to be, and why, and remember to give yourself non food treats! Any exercise you build in will help, also cutting back on alcohol. It does sound a bit killjoy-ish set down like that, but honestly I feel loads better for it. I still have a celebration tipple or cake etc but just not part of my everyday routine? X
