I’m quite young I’m currently 22 and I’m really over weight I feel like every year I’m going up and following my age with my weight. I’ve actually been diagnosed with depression and the main cause is my weight. I need motivation and any tips that people have as I’ve alwaya been the “big person” within my friendship group so I’ve never noticed my self getting bigger. currently I can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Hi and welcome, EBMAC :)

The beauty of being so young, is that your body is strong and resilient and will repair itself quickly and easily. Taking the time now, to perfect your diet and exercise, will reap huge rewards for your older years. Just restricting the amount of junk food and increasing fresh food and exercise, will soon see the pounds shifting :)

Hey EMBAC,

I am the same age and can relate a lot to the being the big person in the friendship group. I decided today that I don't want to let my weight control my life but me control it. For me it's hard to see whether I will ever lose the weight but the key thing here is we are both ready to try. It's going to be hard but I think we can do this! I'll be rooting for you.
