Hi, my name is sapphire, I'm 27 years old and I just had my birthday and I need help on my diet, I am a complete snacker and now I'm not in the mood to eat I just keep on drinking water and squash and I already have skipped breakfast and now skipped dinner I don't know why I feel like this. Maybe I should eat but I'm not hungry any tips on how to make something nice like some chocolate chip cookie would be nice, but don't have anything chocolatey and I feel happy coz it's nearly my time to go back home to mum's as I live in supported living and I am going back on Sunday Christmas Eve such fun!

Welcome Sapphire and happy birthday.
Until I came here, irregular eating is what I always used to do and sometimes no eating at all. Then I found that by eating 3 regular meals a day, my body became happier and I was able to make more sensible food choices.
I'm not sure how you're going to eat if you don't feel like it but you need to try.
If you look at the 'Topics section, you'll find various Recipe sections where you will hopefully find meals that will be tasty and healthy.
Thanks for replying I totally understand how bad it could be but I can't even eat but my staff think I'm better at supported living place than going home coz I was angry about a petty thing which has been sorted out but I can't even get a word in to say that I'm feeling fine and I'm happy to go back for Christmas and new year and they ( my carer) thinks the opposite of what I want but hey thanks yeah xx
Hello Sapphire
I am wondering whether you have access to an advocate? That is someone who can help you say what you need to say to the staff and to your carer?
It's important that the staff and your carer understand your feelings about food and food choices. An advocate could talk with you to hear what you would like to happen and make sure that your message gets across to the people who help you in the supported living.
The problem is that they (staff and carer) might think they are helping you to make healthy choices by stopping you from having too many sweet treats - but sweet treats are fine, as long as you don't have them too often and that your main meals are healthy and help to keep you feeling full up.
I hope that your Mum makes food that you enjoy? Does she let you help her with any cooking or baking?
I don't know where you live, but you might be able to find an advocacy service close to where you live on this website: voiceability.org/support-fo...
Welcome Sapphire, it is nice of you to join us.
As you live in supported living it would be good to talk to one of your support workers about what you are eating and your lack of appetite.
As this is a forum for people who want to lose weight I don't have any recipes for chocolate chip cookies I am afraid. How about a nice cup of cocoa, that would be chocolaty. Do you need someone to help you make it.
Here is a link to how this forum works and you will see that you have a Newbie badge which we give to everyone who joins us. Follow this link: healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...
Hope you had a good birthday and enjoy Christmas with your Mum.
