Hello

I've had a change of meds and my appetite has gone through the roof! I'm like a bear coming out of hibernation! Any tricks to help? So far I'm just drinking loads of water, and my friend suggested black coffee and bovril

Well, I know there are some people around here - Hopalong1 Lytham - who have followed the "eat like a bear" plan. Google it :)

Hello, Hungry meds have played havoc with my diet and the menopause, stress too, my husband's retirement... I lost 70lb with ELAB, then I gained weight being poorly etc, am now eating like a bear again, but two meals a day currently. I had a doc that said it was willpower, save me! I think low carb as poss is helpful. Come across to Daily Diary and plan for a bit. All the best with your weight loss journey 🙂🙃🙂

I don't dare use the diary yet, I know my diet isn't were it needs to be but it's getting better!

The Daily Diary is there for you to use as you see fit. I usually read over a few times what is going on in my head, that I have posted. Other members will help and comment, it is a friendly group. ELAB is a closed group on Facebook, there is a short application to get in, there is a lot of salad🤣😂Have a good Thursday! x

I had a day of an attack of the munchies yesterday. I find filling up on foods with a high water content really helps in this heat (UK). Salads, fruits, raw vegetables, celery and cottage cheese or low fat cheese spread, or homemade hummus dips (loads of recipes on line, but be careful with adding a lot of oil or tahini-a little is fine). Soups, such as cold gazpacho, or warm soups with vegetables, lentils, beans or lean meats. Plenty of water too, as thirst can be mistaken for hunger, so drink a glass of water, wait and see if you are still hungry. Hope this helps.

I always have a good appetite. Especially near that time of the month. I have cravings that don't go away until i give in. I have never gained too much though. Max i ever gained was 2.5 lbs.
