Hello and welcome to the Weight Loss Forum Hayleysimpson1 😊

I’m sorry to hear about your foot, but weight loss is much more about eating properly than exercise so don’t let it put you off.

I'd like to invite you to join our Newbie Club, which we hope will be a good place for you to connect with members, who are also just starting out. If you just post a few words to introduce yourself and respond to others there, you'll soon break the ice. Here's the link

healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

You'll find all the information you need to navigate the forum in the header and a link to the 12 week plan, so please take the time to read it carefully.

Wishing you all the best

Anna

Hello and welcome, Hayleysimpson1 .

Have you had a look at the NHS 12 week programme? It's a guide to a healthy way of eating and living, definitely not a diet. The idea is learning new approaches to eating and ditching old habits that keep many of us in that up and down pattern.

Good luck in making the changes you want :)

Exercise isn't critical for weight loss. Weight loss is 80% controlled by diet alone and only about 20% exercise controlled. It just means that whilst you aren't exercising, you'll be burning less calories and will need to be a little stricter with restricting calorie intake.

I am hardly able to exercise due to my disability and have achieved my weight loss with hardly any exercise at all!
