Evening. Been doing this nearly all my life, now 16st + and full of medical conditions. Hope this site will be helpful and a few more old biddies (like me but just a wrinkly teenager) are around. Evenings are my worst time for nibbling.

Welcome. I find evenings are bad for me to. During the day,at work, I can only have whatever I taken with me but evenings i will find something to nibble. I am in my sixties (younger in my head!!) and have struggled with my weight since given up smoking and being diagnosed with under active thyroid, both about 25 years ago. I am still not doing that well but find this forum very friendly and helpful and am hopeful that I will turn myself around in the end.
Thanks for reply lizziep. Lucky you, working, I am 72 (but about 29 in my head!) and retired when I was 60 only it made no difference as I had been looking after my mother. Just been on my scales and 16st 6 lb, feeling optimistic, it's a bit less than last time I weighed. Just abandoned WW, prefer cals when they are on everything. Want the 6 lb off for Christmas so not over ambitious.
May do some planning today for next week's food. Cleaned my kitchen yesterday and it is so nice to go into a lovely clean and tidy place.
Hope you are on the right amount of thyroxine. Don't give up, somehow I haven't, don't know how. Think I try too hard sometimes and then go barmy.
Anyway, see you later, x
