I'm thinking of buying a fit bit to help give me motivation, any advice?

Hi Heidi1966

I have a fitbit flex and it is great for keeping me motivated and moving. It lets me know how many steps I walk, the Kms, how many calories I have burned each day and my active minutes. I can record all my calories and my weight. I would not be with out mine.

Me too. I've got a Fitbit Alta so I can change the strap to suit my clothes and mood.

I wear mine everyday the app is really useful and helps keep me on track. I can see what my weak points are and what hours I'm sitting around being inactive.

I've also connected it to MFP.

Like SukiV I have the Fitbit Alta and it's great 😊 really helps keep me focused on things and it's great that it can be linked to the MyFitnessPal app as I try to make sure my calories are in the green on there as sometimes I find I haven't done enough steps / activity to eat as much as the NHS BMI calculator has recommended.

Love my fitbit - I had the charge to start and then promoted myself to the blaze

Love them both for different reasons - would defo look got one with a watch type strap :)

Heidi1966,

Where do you get those fitbits from?

I’ve got a ‘Charge 2’ and I like it. I use it along side MyFitnessPal (but I don’t link them, deliberately). It helps.

I have a charge 2, helps me keep track of my activity levels and sleep, plus everything else people have already mentioned. So glad I bought it 👍

I got a fitbit flex2 and it's amazing. I can take it swimming, it's robust, it's pink! It syncs to my phone and it vibrates and lights up when I hit my "target". Mine is set to steps and it definitely motivates me to get up and moving more. It's encouraged me to go for walks every lunch time as a minimum. It also encourages me to record what I eat on my fitness pal because it can "talk" to the fitbit app and the calories carry across.

You don't NEED one. But I think it works :) I got mine as a reward for trying so hard and also got the fitbit flex 2 as it's a bit cheaper than some of the fancy ones and I think it might be the only one that you can take swimming.

Hi kinbun. Now out of hospital and weight has gone down 1kg although I have eaten well in hospital chose healthy options on menus plus the fact that I was walking about Ward to get to loos and washrooms .
