Hi everyone I have been overweight for a number of years now, I have struggled to keep my cholesterol levels down and ended up on statins, these have got me into a much better place but I realise I still need to lose weight. My knees are playing up so I hope that getting into a healthy BMI range will help them as I don't want to have knee replacements if possible. It's a bit daunting starting out and I'm not that good on the computer but hopefully I will keep on track and get to know you all on here!

Hi and welcome 87down
Ooo Knees, I fell a year ago flat on my face and my one knee took a right bashing, I tried to do C25K and my knee was not having it - so now I am increasing the walking instead - so i know what you mean about wanting to lose to help those knees
I'd like to invite you to join our Newbie Club, where you can meet other new members, who are also just starting out. . Here's the link

If you just post a few words to introduce yourself and respond to others there, you'll soon break the ice
I've also given you a week 1 badge.
Wishing you all the best
Thanks everyone I'm sure I will get the hang of it! I am determined to stick with it this time
