Saw a post about Greek yogurt on here a few weeks ago. I'm currently buying fat free not Greek style. Is this the best?

Hi, i am on a low carb diet so I don't do low fat food so I have full fat natural yog. Low fat processed food tends to have a lot of sugar in it anyway.

@Dazzle go for full fat yogurt, it tastes nicer, keeps you fuller and the low fat ones are full of sugar and sugar is really not good for us.

Greek yogurt rather than Greek style.

Enjoy

Opt for full-fat Greek Yoghurt over 0% fat. Alternatively, consider Bio Yoghurt, as it contains live cultures (gut-friendly bacteria).

I have to say that the best Greek yogurt I've ever eaten is Oikos.

80 cals. 0g fat. 6g carbs. 15g protein. 15% DV calcium.

Just read up on semi-skimmed milk and its percentage increase to potentially cause problems. Wow!

Going to have sit down and do some thinking!

Hi Concerned I have been using semi skinned for years so I guess the full fat blue top is best for us it's so confusing this new way of thinking but I am learning all the time as a woman in my 50's needing calcium would full fat be my best option? Sorry to ask but you have a wealth of information and I am very aware of diabetes as my grandmother had it and my husband is supposed to be pre-diabetic. Thank you I would appreciate any info you could give me. Thanks Bev

Fat free Greek yogurt does not contain extra sugar, or ant sugar. It just contains milk.

I am also LCHF but opt for fat free Greek Yogurt as it has a corresponding ly higher protein content.

At the end of the day it is whatever best fits your macros and you enjoy eating.

I always buy lidl pots of greek yoghurt, I add a teasp of honey and a banana, I eat it every so often, and is healthier than fruit yoghurts, I find portion pots easier to handle being calorie counted
