Hi and welcome, Kolli, :)

Take a look at the Pinned posts section to the right of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile), read the Welcome Newbie thread, then move through to the challenges, where we hope you'll find at least one that will appeal to you :)

Move down to the Topics, to find a variety of threads, collated into specific topics for ease of access and we ask that you also 'file' your own threads, so that others won't miss your important news :)

Take a look at the 12 week plan, as a lot of people have been successful with it, making sure to enter your details into the BMI calculator, to get a calorie allowance tailored to your personal requirements. Don't forget to take your starting measurements and a 'before' picture, as they can be very motivating on days that the scales refuse to co-operate :)

We run daily weigh-in's and you'd be very welcome to join us. The threads can always be found in the Events section, to the right of the home page, bottom on a mobile.

We've found that to get the best out of this community, we need to be active on the forum, as it's where we exchange information, get motivation and inspiration and make friends. We hope that you'll join us here, regularly, too :)

It's only left for me to wish you well on your journey :)

No experience of losing that quickly Im afraid, but I did lose my excess 2 stone by planning meals and calorie counting every day. That was nearly three years ago. My weight came off steadily but more slowly , over ten months. BUT most importantly because the body adjusted more slowly, the weight has stayed off ever since.

Hi Kolli,

Welcome to the community.

Losing weight is a long time thing and took me some time work out things.

Myfitnesspal app free for phone and tablet easy cal counter and step counter, even counts micronutrients, more important protein, carbs and fat.

Eat a high protein, medium fat and low carb. 1200 cals 30% carbs 90g but I never eat that. 35% 105g protein, 35% 47g fat.

Liberte/Total/skyr plain yogurt. Look at soduim levels thought.

Plenty of veg I love oven roasted even sprinkle over cumin paprika. Basmati rice is better than brown. Try Barenaked or Eatwater (slimrice slimpasta etc) konjak root so low carbs low cals.

Plenty of exercise.

More importantly it is not a diet it a lifestyle change, don't deprieve your body or mind if you say " can't have" you will want more. It will take a while for you to re train your brain but it does work. I lost 1 3/4 st gone from 18 to a 10/12 in 16mnth.

Good luck

Wendy
