1 and a half stone to lose. week 5 of 12 week plan

hi all.

Im on week 5 of the 12 week plan. I just joined the community today as I haven't lost any weight for 2 weeks now 😔. lost 2 pounds in the first and 2nd week which was great. but I just can seem to lose anymore. I need to lose a stone to be in my healthy weight range and another half to be in the middle. but I'd be happy just losing a stone!! I'm eating 1400 calories and exercising 150 mins + every week to include 2 strength sessions. but it's not working for me anymore. I think my body is too clever and knows what I'm up to! any help would be great!

Hello mizmaz and welcome to the weight loss forum ☺ well done on completing 2 weeks of the 12 week plan and losing 4 lbs ☺ weight loss can vary from week to week so try to be patient ☺

Take a look is at the Pinned posts section to the right of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile), read the Welcome Newbie thread first and move through to the challenges, where we hope you'll find at least one that will appeal to you ☺

Move down to the Topics, to find a variety of threads, collated into specific topics for ease of access and we ask that you also 'file' your own threads, so that others won't miss your important news ☺

You have seen the NHS 12 week plan, many people have had success with it. Also use the BMI checker to find your target calories, it's important to eat enough. Don't forget to take your starting measurements and a 'before' picture, as they can be very motivating on days that the scales refuse to co-operate ☺

The forum also have group weigh-ins every day, but they are quite busy. If you wish to take part Sunday is the quietest day but you are welcome to join any day. The threads can always be found in the Events section, to the right of the 'home' page, or at the very bottom (after all the posts) on a mobile.☺

We've found that to get the best out of this community, we need to be active on the forum, as it's where we exchange information, get motivation and inspiration and make friends. We hope that you'll join us here, regularly, too ☺

You'll notice a grey box next to people's names, these are achievement badges, and as a new member you may have a 'Newbie' badge. If you have any questions or would like a Newbie badge please just ask ☺

Best wishes

Anna

Hi mizmaz, I suspect that 1400 calories is way too few for you and would urge you to check your personal allowance on the NHS BMI calculator, as 1400 calories is a generic amount, that isn't suitable for most of us.

I would second what moreless is saying here, if you up your cals you'll see results!

really! so If I eat more I could actually lose more? sounds too good to be true but would definitely make me happy! I'm a bit reluctant to give it a go tho. what if I put the measly weight I've put so much effort to losing back on again? hmm.

Well done on your weight loss i know how you are feeling, i had a bad week last week after putting on a little bit on i seem to get to the stage where i get stuck then fall off the rails a little then get back on but then i have the weight i put on from the bad week to lose again, this week i am having a much better week so hopefully the weight i put on last week will fall off pretty quick, then onwards and upwards i am back in the right frame of mind this week.. I wish you luck in your target,
