Started the 12 week plan yesterday and feel really positive about it. The plan is so much more realistic to fit with one's life rather than these stupid fad diets. I also did 30 minutes of exercise which isn't a lot but all I could fit around the baby. Got to start somewhere, right.

Well done you - contemplating tackling anything like this with a baby to look after is admirable - I found that depending on your start weight the amount you can eat in calories is actually pretty generous and personally I find having a little of something naughty each day stops me from abstaining and then bingeing - keep going and good luck
The 12 week plan has turned into the 9 month plan for me as it isn't at all faddy and one you get into a healthier lifestyle it just keeps itself going. Good luck x
I would agree - although not as far down the road timewise as kalahuchi i am way past the twelve week plan but it has changed the way I look at everything - I still have treats and naughty things but in moderation and I count the calories of them accurately - it was very interesting yesterday to talk to a lady who had just started Slimming World for the umpteenth time (I've also done it and put it all back on again myself) - there was some cake in the staff room and I'm pretty sure the pieces of carrot cake would have been at least 250 to 300 calories - they weren't large but they were lovely and frosted too - when I was on SW you could count 20 cals for one syn - she said she thought that a piece of the cake would be 8 or 9 syns ie 160 to 180 calories and was quite surprised when I said I was allowing 300 calories for the cake - it's so easy to underguesstimate the calorific value of something and so I always err on the high side even if it means I can't have something else later
I have never attempted to try Slimming World although I know people who have done and lost weight but hadn't managed to maintain it. I still want to have a naughty little treat now and again but in moderation. I was eating way too much biscuits, cake, chocolate and crisps and nearly on a daily basis.
Hi Gibbs17 I am new to this weight loss plan started yestarday as well I am feeling more positive with this plan already I am with other groups on here as well for other problems I had got and they are a wonderful group they help you when you are down so I am sure this group will help us all get to our target we will all have our ups and down but I am sure we can start it a gain the next day.
