First week done,& 2lbs lost!!

My first week on the healthy eating plan & 2 lbs lost. Didn't manage to fit in much of the exercise program just didn't seem to get time. I decided not to join a gym but walk & cycle (coz it's free) & I am watching my pennies. Have 2 stone to lose as I gave up smoking, but I'd like to fit back in my clothes again

Well done on your 2lb loss that is excellent.

I walk all the time and love it and it certainly helps with the weight loss.

You will love trying on your old clothes and getting back into them :-) It's a feeling I can't even describe :-)

Hi I have just joined this site and just read your post. I too would like to lose 2 stone. How did you find your first week?

That's great, well done. If you have an MP3 player the NHS has given us some free resources - NHS couch to 5K running programme (splendid forum here) and NHS Strength and Flexibility (which you can do at home) There are also some YouTube walking videos which might help you capitalise on any little bits of time you have, also Ekhart Yoga on YouTube has some good stuff for toning.

I too can vouch for the very special pleasures of having a whole load of 'new' clothes just pulled out of my drawers. What wasn't so great was having a special pair of knickers fall down round my knees when I was out for a walk over Easter wearing a dress. I can't fit into a smaller dress size but I have dropped a knicker size and proved it quite literally!

Well done so far. (especially stopping smoking, that was the hardest thing I ever did). I had the same problem with a pair of trousers last summer! But it's great feeling clothes getting looser.

I thoroughly recommend c25k as well, even if you have never run.

Well done, this is a great start! Remember "The Hare and the Tortoise", slow and steady will get you the best results. I look forward to hearing more about your weight loss journey over the next few weeks.
