Day 2 of 12 week plan: Oh gosh were do I... - Weight Loss Support
Day 2 of 12 week plan
Hi this is how I lived the past 6 years and it led me to put on 1.5 stone. When I started looking at my calorie intake last month it was about 500 in the day (no hunger) then in the evenings with nothing to keep me busy I would binge to make up my 1500 calorie deficit.
Make sure you are eating enough during the day and it should curb the cravings in the evening. Hope this helps.
You sound like me lol i could eat nothing all day and then junk food all night I agree you need to try to eat more during the day especially breakfast I'm on a new plan now and I take some herbal drops that really curb my cravings though and doing well so far
Hi Wantoslim16 π I'm sure alot of people have the same problem...boredom is a huge factor in over eating π€
Make sure you know what your daily calorie allowance is eat a healthy breakfast, snack if needed, lunch, mid afternoon snack if needed and a good nutricious evening meal. log all your calories and then if you feel the urge to raid the cupboards you will know what calories you have left to use up!!!! Keep in your cupboards healthy, low fat, low sugar snacks but still something you will enjoy or you will just crave crisps and chocolate .... I know I did π
Good snacks are things like little pots of sugar free jelly, quark mixed with hot chocolate, fruit and small amount of nuts, low fat sugar yogurt with a topping ... even a few squares of good quality chocolate π
Try even drinking more ... herbal or fruit tea or a low calorie hot chocolate to fill you up β
I hope some of this helps . .. although I'm sure you will get lots of support, hints and tips from all the lovely people here on the forum π
Good luck π
Hi and welcome
I used to skip breakfast, get to work and eat a packet of crisps, buy a filled breadroll at lunch and then down a huge tea in the evening and then drink 3 large glasses of wine
I am now on week 3 and now I have breakfast and try to aim for approx 300 calories, take a packed lunch which is filled with fruit and veg, low fat humous or homemade veg soup etc (bought a sandwich the other week and was gobsmacked re how many calories it had compared to my lunch box) - aim for @ 400 calories and then in the evening a family meal and aim for @400 / 500 calories - have substituted the wine for sparkling water in a wine glass (although still have one or two glasses on a Friday and or Saturday night - if I have been good in the week) .
Today's food was -
Breakfast, 1 venison sausage, 3 cherry tomatoes, 1 slice of bacon, 1 slice of Danish bread (51 cals per slice) and 1 boiled egg.
Lunch - homemade veggie soup and a slice of danish bread, 1/4 of a melon and 1 pear. (saved some calories for tonight's tea, as had a roast)
Tea was roast chicken, roasted veg and 1 small potato and a small ball of stuffing.
I still have 150 calories left to take me to the middle of my calorie range, however, I am full and so won't be using that, but am still in the range of calories
Good luck on your journey and hope the above helps
Hi, perhaps you aren't eating enough throughout the day,if you are getting home really hungry you will be inclined to grab anything. Planning is really important. Have breakfast and lunch, a couple of healthy snacks and know what you are going to have for evening meal. Have you got a slow cooker?itIs lovely to come home to a tasty casserole at this time of year. Or batch cook at the weekends, vegetable soup us good, then you can have a bowl of that to take off the hunger pangs before you prepare your evening meal. Veg packed spag bol or chilli is great, you can take it out the freezer in the morning and it's quick easy meal when you get home. Hope this helps. Good luck π
You are not alone in this . It can be really hard especially if you are living with other people who are not eating healthily.
Evening munchies are a very common thing, but like all our eating habits they can be changed π You have some excellent advice above. try to have faith, it does get easier π I have managed to stop all eating after 7pm, it's tough at times but getting easier all the time πππ
Good luck and best wishes, it's worth it I promise! π
Thank you Anna your a real inspiration. I know I can do this it is difficult when you have family & they eat biscuits etc in front of me. Just got to think Christmas work lunch & clothes to fit.
I have started to have a cup of tea as soon as I come in! It gives me a chance to think things through without rushing straight to the food cupboard!
I came home from work tonight & made myself a cup of tea. I think it may have worked. I call myself husband my feeder as when he goes shopping he nearly always buys 2 Belgian Buns..I've refused mine in fact it's staring at me π. Anyway thanks for the useful tips.
You just got a lot of great ideas Caz28 really resounds with me. I need to snack usually in the afternoon on carrot stick and celery, radishes. Always have a ice cold water travel home with it in your car, L what means you use. Grab a warm tea when you get in the door have some meals coked in a slow cooker so you can relax before eating catch up with hubby. Plan a week of meals ahead an groceries required. Clear cabinets of temptations. Sip on broth. All tools I used. Good luck.
