Hi everyone, I have just joined today and am hoping to loose 3 stone. I would be grateful for any tips/help people can give me. I am hoping to burn fat and build muscle to get that toned look. I am currently watching my calories and take a daily 25g scoop of protein. I am hoping to start walking and go to the gym twice a week, any tips on what to use at the gym, reps/sets etc. Any wee tips would be helpful. Thanks

Great that you're planning to start walking, and go to the gym twice a week.

I would recommend the NHS 12 week plan, and also the various exercise pages in the NHS Choices website too - definitely worth a look. Maybe ask at your gym for some help with a good work-out too - as they should be able to offer you a personalised programme, maybe as part of your gym membership?

I have just completed week 1 of the couch25k (details on the nhs website) and can recommend week 1 at least.... will report back as I progress. It was fun!
