Really want to loose weight

FloCute profile image
5 Replies

Hi all, I am new here and will appreciate some support in my journey to lose weight and keep it off permanently.

I am currently pushing 15 stones and can hardly fit into any of my clothes. My biggest challenge is the motivation and encouragement to lose weight. I basically have no moral support and hoping i can get it here. My ideal weight is 11 stones but if i can achieve 13 before the end of the year that will be a greater achievement than my Masters degree.

I will appreciate any support please.

Hi FloCute

Welcome to the weight loss forum.

Take a look at the Welcome Newbie post in the Pinned post section at the right hand side or at the bottom if your on a mobile. Have a look at the nhs 12 week plan, many members have had success following this plan. Use the BMI checker to work out your daily calorie allowance.

Have a look at the Daily Diary which you can find on the Home page in Events. It is where all the members are sharing their daily plans on what they are eating and any exercise they are doing. This thread will give you some ideas on how to start.

Below the Pinned posts are the Topics where members share a range of weight related subjects.

Take your measurements at the start together with a photo so you can see the changes on the days the scales don't move.

We have daily weigh ins so why not come along and join us today. You can find the weigh ins on the Home page in the Events section on the right. Just click on the post in Events and record your start weight and any loss/gain or maintain for the week.

To get the most of the forum be active, share tips, recipes and experiences. Read some of the posts they are very motivating.

Have a good first week.

Rose

I gained a lot of weight doing my MSc over 30 years ago ! That and whilst having two children...Go for the double now, try losing now you can concentrate on yourself again....you won't regret it!

We'll done fore reaching out for the support you feel you need. I am constantly in a similar boat to you- no master though! I have started the 'weight loss' project so many time and got down to 15 from 17 stones- just after my son was born. I've been struggling with 15 stone for about 4 years now and want to get to that elusive 11 stones or size 10/12. We are here; please reach out whenever. Keep a food diary as well; it can be so eye opening...........

+1 for keeping a food diary. It is impossible to hide from it and such an easy tool to help motivate yourself.
