Hi MRSM24682016,

Welcome to the Weight Loss NHS community forum, and it's great that you have a holiday to work towards in just over 6 weeks.  I would like to give you a link to our Welcome Newbie thread:

Also, there is a Monday group weigh-in - if you are interested then please just go there and join in - it's very supportive and friendly:

Also, have a look at our pinned posts (top right-hand-side of the homepage) incase there's anything there which you fancy joining in with.

Have a great week, and good luck!

You can certainly do that, 14lbs in 6 weeks, but you have to put the effort in.

Get onto the 12 week nhs plan, keep a food diary and count your calorie intake, cut out all sugar and added sugar and no alcohol.

Check your BMI and work out your daily calories to safely lose weight.

Plan your meals in advance and schedule some regular exercise.

Join the Monday weigh in and read some of the inspiring posts on here.

In 6 weeks I had lost 16lbs, the effort is really worth it MRSM

Good luck John

Thanks,  although I do believe it's easier for men and to lose than for women.

mmmm, not sure I agree MRSM,

certainly there are times of the month when women would see the effects of fluid retention etc but over time the equation must be the same? I have seen some fantastic weight losses posted on here by women as well as men.

Good luck :-)
