Hello everyone, can anyone explain why my husband had lost 2 stone but clothes size hasn’t changed, still in clothes he wore before weight loss and although I keep hoping he will go down a size, nothing changes.

Hello, M41M, it sometimes takes a while for size to catch up with weight loss though I would have thought that after 2 stones loss his clothes would be feeling looser. Increasing exercise may help him become more toned.

Hi. In times where I have lost weight, (I've joined again today) inches is the last to go from previous experience. I lost it, couldn't understand why I was in the same clothes, then all of a sudden as I got probably another half a stone off, it seemed to just go from my waist. Well done to him though!!!!

Your husband has done well. 2st loss is a great achievement. But try not to focus on clothes size , it is rarely a reliable indicator of weightloss success as today's size labels vary so much from brand to brand.

Two stone loss is great in itself and I'm sure some of his actual body measurements will have decreased.

Dropping a clothes size will vary from person to person it depends on our basic body shape and how much we have to lose. In my own case I had over 2stone to lose in total, and I didn't drop a trouser size until the final few lbs.

I see your post is not privacy "locked" . Locking your post means that only readers of the HU forum can see it .... not everyone else on the Some people won't reply to an unlocked post I'm afraid .

Go to "more" at the bottom of your post and then "edit" to lock it.

I have lost four stone - and my waist measurement decreased rapidly.I think that that was because I have gluten intolerance, which causes a distended abdomen.
