Newbie at calorie counting!

Hi all! I've been a bit of a diet obsessive over the past 2 years but more importantly a HUGE foodie... In 2015 I lost two stone using ideas from Slimming World, clean eating, and basically cutting out sugar and fat. I've still managed to keep the majority of that off - yay! Last year in January I done the same and my weight loss went up to 3 stone which was great but I found it very difficult to keep off and I was constantly craving naughty foods. I am 5ft6 and 10 stone 6, and now following the NHS plan by calorie counting! I'd like to be 9 stone. It seems too good to be true, I can finally eat what I like in moderation! :-) I'd love some slimming buddies! Is there anyone which has similar goals to me?

And more importantly, how large/small are everyone's weight losses calorie counting? I'm used to 2/3 lbs a week usually but would like to know what to expect when I'm eating what I like now :-)

Hi. I'm a newbie on the 12 week plan. Did some calorie counting and exercise for a few months last yr and lost 5kg but lost motivation so I'm trying again. I'm 5'5" and 10 stone 10. My ideal weight is about 1 1/2 stone down from there. Doubt I'll get that far but I'm gonna try!

As far as I can tell, it's great on here for support. Good luck!

Hi newbie as well i have 2 stones to loose or at least aiming for it. You had great progress congrats. I am 5'2" and 11st2 which is to much. After 2 pregnancies and 5 stones up in both i managed to loose it easier first time but 2nd time not that lucky. I am not sure why i find it harder 2nd time maybe not doing enough exercise as we moved house and driving more then before. I have started doing pilates 2 days a week and lost about 3 lbs in january but nothing more over the last week. I have already cut down sugar using stevia liquid, carbs. Thinking about the 5:2 fasting but with 500cal in the fasting days. Good luck Stef
