Does anyone use a calorie counter? If so, which kind do you use? I'm using an app on my iPod to track my intake of calories, along with the exercise. although on my app, I am unable to lower the calorie budget, but I am trying to stay under budget that has been set by the program.
Calorie counter?!!: Does anyone use a... - Weight Loss Support
Calorie counter?!!
Try My Fitness Pal its free and it calculates how many calories you should be having by weight and height. You can also state how many pounds you want to lose a week and it will calculate how many calories. You can change it if you want go lose 1' 2 or enen half a pound a week. Its a good app to have thousands of foods listed and if you cant find it you can put the nvs in and it will give you the calories. Hope this helps!
I use my fitness pal, it sets calories but tells you if you are not eating enough.
I also use Myfitnesspal, it's always been useful and on the whole reliable. You can also look at graphs of your weight over time, or other factors you want to look at, once you've been doing it for a while. Really good.
Hi Littlehelena, from the posts on here several people use Myfitnesspal. I use a different app Myplate, the basic level is free and I find it gives enough information for what I want. You can track calores, weight etc and on the iphone (I'm not sure how it works on other phones) you can link it to steps/excercise done during the day. As far as I know both apps are free so you could try both and see how you go. Good luck.
I use the calorie checker on the 12 week weight loss program. Enter nhs.uk, on the first screen click on A-Z, the on "W" scroll down to weight loss on left. Brings up 12 week weight loss program. Scroll down and watch for Calorie Checker on right of screen. It's great, there are 150,000 products on the Database. Best wishes.

I use myfitnesspal, but on a windowsphone (which I think means it doesn't have all the features). But people use the apps in different ways anyway. Rather than using myfitnesspal to calculate an appropriate calorie limit and entering exercise on there etc, I have it set up quite simply with just a 1400 goal per day. I have also been logging my weight on it each time I lose some weight. I'm going to look now to see if I can get it to draw a graph like Lowcal says it can
I use my netdiary counts calories tells u how many u shud b having for ur weight size ect....also graphs bmi, weight loss, inch loss , exercise ect...I get on well with it xxx
I've always used myfitnesspal and I've never had any complaints!
myfitnesspal.com/ and you can download as an app.
Hi like Marrow45 I also use the NHS calorie counter from the 12 week plan and the My Fitness Pal. Both are a really good way to help keep count of your calorie intake.
Good luck we are here to support each other.
All the best
