weight loss at a stand still?
Hello!
Well done on what you've lost! A huge amount.
I think it is normal to have some weeks where you don't lose anything. The closer you get to your target weight, the harder it gets. But I wouldn't assume you've plateau-ed unless you have the same weight 3 weeks running. You have been losing weight very fast and it's no surprise that it might slow up.
It might help your motivation to focus on something other than weight loss for a bit - waist size, fitness goals?
All the best
Gail
Thanks Gail
Yep, it is normal to plateau. I did it at about week 6 I think. Apparently our bodies get used to our new regime and start to hold on to the weight. However I checked that I hadn't slipped up with my portion control and tightened up my calorie counting and the next week I was back to losing weight . I'm sure you will get back on track in the next couple of weeks.
Perfectly normal. As you lose weight your body requires less calories to fuel it. You may need to reassess how much you're eating, keep a close eye on portion sizes.
Don't lose heart, don't lose focus. Check you're eating correctly for your new weight and well done on how far you've come already
Thanks Skittycat portion size may just be the thing.
