I'm really struggling to loose weight!
Hi noweightloss,
Welcome, you have come to the right place, everyone is super supportive of one another here! Have you looked at the NHS 12week plan? I use my fitness pal to log my food so I make sure I stay within my calorie allowance. Then you might be able to work out where (if) you're slipping up! Also are you doing any exercise? I don't have children but my girlfriends all say that is what made a difference to them losing baby weight.
Don't forget that your body has been through a lot over the last year! Best of luck with whatever you do 🌸
Don't be too hard on yourself. What you are doing sounds great and you will feel the benefit. You are 22, there is plenty of time. Perhaps with weather improving will help, getting out and about more and enjoying life with your baby.
Life with a young child is exhausting and it sounds like you are doing a lot of the right things. Be kind to yourself. If you are feeding the baby yourself you will need extra calories - even if not your body is having to be alert more than before. It sounds like if you concentrate on eating healthily most of the time the weight will gradually come off. Always the best way.
Not sure you are doing anything wrong. It all takes time, and you've been through a lot. Your body is still adjusting, and will for a while.
Get hold of myfitnesspal and log all the food you eat - everything, be honest. It should tell you how many calories you eat and how many you need. From this you should be able to work out what to cut down on etc. Maintaining your weight at this stage is probably as much as you need to do.
Exercise is very healthy, and although it won't make you thin by itself, it should offset the odd time when you eat a little more than you should, but don't think it gives you an excuse for eating more it doesn't.
I bet this is still from your pregnancy, a little wait and a positive result is coming.
It's hard after having a baby, your body has grown and expanded in way you couldn't imagine, that has taken 9 month.
You have started the correct way in eating healthy meals which is great, it possible could help by down loading a food app, their are many that can help I use "my fitness pal app" but just look at things that could help you.
The area that I live in do have baby groups, to help new mother to get a healthy balanced diet and to get educated in eating healthy.
Your defiantly starting of great with your meals, but also what you could do as an idea is to have a plate that only you use, I use a flat soup bowl( if you can picture that) it just helps me not to put loads of food on my plate.
I also push myself to drink water, through out the day.
Try not to get to stressed and about it, it will happen, I hope this helps.
Good luck
