Hello everyone, I am 23 years old and weigh 13 stone 6lb. I've been attending slimming world for a moneth and feel I'm not losing weight fast enough, which has made me very depressed. I exercise daily most days for 1 hour 30 mins and I am really trying my best. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Zilcobain,

Take a look at the type of exercise your doing, it maybe you need to increase your cardio.  What type are you doing?

Try myfitnesspal app to track your cals, carbs, protein and fat and it tracks your steps. Could be that even though your following their diet something could be slightly over.  Are you eating enough?

Good luck

So how much have you lost, have you tracked your portions and stuff, it simply may be you are over eating healthy food

It can be so deflating when you do all the right things and nothing happens. Maybe try another tactic .Try writing down all that you eat and track the calories use the tracker on here to work out how much you should have .I go to the gym regularly and for the first few weeks lost very little as it take your body a wee while to adjust and muscle is heavier!! I do track calories tho ,fill up on veggies and avoid sugar and carbs as much as poss (last 2 weeks been an exception due to emotions)

It maybe be that simple it may not but anything is worth trying !! Good luck and keep posting your results.

It is difficult to say without knowing how much you have lost? I know we all want a magic wand to make us slimmer and fitter but for permanent results, slow and steady is preferable 😕 I lost 10 kilos in 5 months, then another 4 in the last four months. However, I try to enjoy the process, eat nice food and enjoy the increasing fitness 😊

Good luck

Anna I shouldn't complain as it took me 1.5 stones in 6 months and I thought it was slow. You are making me feel good. In other words it took me longer to loose weight but you are so right who cares as long as eventually we loose it and it stays off. The truth is in the past I lost so quickly but gained very quickly and this time I am fed up I just want to keep it off for good! It is not a diet but a life style change.

Exactly 😊 I eat lovely food that I really enjoy, just watch the portion size carefully 😊 I am doing this long term, will be another 9 months at least until I get to goal, 25th wedding anniversary next February is my hope 😊 But also sticking to plan for a whole year, the longest ever 😊 We can do this!! 😊

My biggest problem is eating chocolates but now I am going to stop as it is so unhealthy. Gives short energy no point.
