This week I've lost 0.4 pounds. So now I'm 13 stone 12.0 pounds. I was hoping to have lost a bit more - as my goal was to lose 2 pounds, but I am feeling ok with the 0.4 loss, because it is a LOSS. Phew! I'm also getting used to staying under the 14 stone mark, which feels like an achievement in itself!

I hope everyone has had a good week. I think I'll give myself the goal this week to lose 1 pound. Best of luck to everyone to achieve your goals. Have a great week.

Lowcal :-)

You're right. A loss is a loss. I would check your measurements too as there may be a bigger difference there. Keep going and it will come. You've done well and should be proud.

Morning I've lost 3 of the 7lbs I want to lose this morning. It has taken me 7 weeks to achieve this which I think equates to 0.2kg a week. My advice is keep going and concentrate on what youve achieved so far. Slow but sure is the best way.

Hi Annie, am in the same boat as you-put on 7lb in the last few weeks and back up to 11stone-still weighed that this morning and want to lose another 2 stone. Will weigh next Monday-what is your goal weight?

I weigh 163lbs & would like to be about 149... so a few pounds to go ! I'd like to weigh 9st 13lbs... but my goal is 10 st 7lbs at the mo... I weigh on a Wednesday... I've given up alcohol for sober october... so hope that helps... will keep in touch xx

Hi Annie, sober october sounds good-I know thats my downfall and the fact that I comfort eat so any problems I have I eat my way through them. Will weigh on Monday though and joining a boot camp at my local R Conley class on 21/10 -hope you have a ggod week x

same here & its hard to control isn't it ? Never mind... we'll get there..!

I weigh on wednesdays but I know the weight will go slowly... goes on soooo easily but taking it off is like starting again... but since having no alcohol I've slept better , am not bloated, my skin looks healthy & I have no bags under the eyes.. plenty of wrinkles but no bags ! Ha !.....

So will carry on.... then if & when I do start drinking alcohol again I intend to moderate it to 2 glasses... & only when we have company or its a special occasion or go out... thats the plan... just have to keep to it!... I know alcohol is my downfall as it acts as a food stimulant ... so have to do something... need to look after this old bod now !!!

I've upped the exercise now.. yesterday I did 50 squats, swam for 20 mins in a cold pool & walked 3 miles.. think that the key now... not sitting here for hours !

Good luck with the boot camp... it does make a difference & its gives you a feeling ofsatisfaction that you are at last doing something eh?

Keep going girl... we'll get there x

Well I'm very impressed! I was reading a book at the weekend about eating healthily and it makes sense to nourish your body with proper food-had porridge for breakfast with plums then healthy sandwich and cook tonight and then I think about alcohol which spoils it all-weighed today and put on a pound but not despondant as feel determined. Had 30 min swim every day so keeping up with that -hope your weigh in goes well x

Hi Annie, how did your weigh in go? I'm in a really good frame of mind now so fingers crossed

Good Morning Lowcal, I was this morning again with 84kg or 186.6pounds if I calculated correctly. Since I didn't write down, what I lately handed in on Weigh-in Mondays, I don't know if it is my rise or downfall I am exercising! I think I will start making myself a list to get tidy.- Thank you for your last answer, it was really good to read something personally ;-) !

To all the others :-) ! It is really good to have company in fighting the combustion bin with-in.

Thank you all!

Put on a pound this week Lowcal but not bothered, I am off to gym later and I do my work and will be out for a walk on Tuesday with gym Wed - Fri. Looking forward to this week however I have noticed a massive change in energy levels. I have started taking St Johns Wort to help raise my mood as I think I start to go down when the weather changes. Feeling very lethargic and having to fight it every day. Good luck to everyone during the week and I will try and come on here more this week to see if that changes my mood too. Being with like-minded people I believe is a lovely feeling. I know most of us are strangers in the 'real' world but we are all friends and supporters on here and that really helps and encourages me to not feel so alone on this journey. x

Morning Lowcal... Metabolism is a funny thing! Yesterday I expected to put on wt as ate a 300cal breakfast, then a 1,000cal lunch (kebabs for 2, home-made, 1/2 a cup of raw brown rice & circa 2 cups of boiled brocolli) and for sups some left-over roasted aubergine -- and all day felt really full, although my calorie count was 1400... And blow me down, I had dropped 1 lb overnight!!! Was considering not weighing but it is encouraging to see a loss! Press on!! If losing only 0.4lb and sticking to 1400cal combined with Healthy Eating esp including some natural fats and less or no bread, you WILL lose more again - usually quite unexpectedly! Have a good week!

Morning lowcal. Well done staying under 14st, all those little losses add up!

My weight this morning was 67.4kg, which is up a bit from last weeks 66.8kg. I'm not bothered though, as I was sure that it was a weird fluke low reading last Monday for some reason. The aim this week is to try to get back down to less than 67kg.

I had a really good suprise this weekend when I went shopping for some new jeans. I picked up a pair of size 12, thinking that I would buy them as something to fit into in a few weeks. But when I pulled them on in the changing room they fit perfectly :) I was so happy I also bought a pair of cords and a jumper as well. So on Sunday evening I got all my size 12 clothes out of the box under the bed and had a fashion show. I found that about half fit me now and the other half I can fit into but still a bit snug. I've got a whole new load of things to wear, some of which I forgot I even owned!

Hi Lowcal, well done for still moving in the right direction. I haven't been here for a couple of weeks and at my last post - 12st 3lb - I said that I was determined to be under 12st when I came back.....well the determination paid off and I've surprised myself by coming in well under at 11st 11lb!!!! The thought of not wanting to have to type my weight as 12st something had really got me motivated!!

There seems to have been a slight shift in mood on here over the last few weeks, maybe darker nights creeping in, slightly cooler weather (except for you Annie, sunning yourself in Spain :-) ) - what are we going to do guys to support each other through this next phase???

I've already started to shift my diet over onto chunky soups, I hate feeling cold and not satisfied. Another post on here gives the recipe for tray-baked Cajun veg, I think I'm going to adopt this strategy the next few weeks - start trying to find ways to spice up those winter veg...salads and 'lighter foods' are just not going to cut it anymore!!!

Good luck everyone, look forward to hearing your strategies for the coming weeks :-)
