Bleeding after trans vaginal ultrasound??

Hi all, please forgive me, I'm very new to this! I had a trans vaginal ultrasound today in the hopes of diagnosing the reason for my lack of periods for 4 months. Dr said there were some follicles and suspects PCOS, but fairly mild... I have to wait 7-10 days for gp results. My question is... Has anyone else experienced bleeding after an ultrasound? I've been bleeding since I got home - only lightly but it is constant. I can't find any resources online of anybody who has also experienced this! Just FYI, I'm not pregnant. Thanks.

Yes I did after mine I'm very sensitive x

Hey, thanks so much for the reply, it's comforting to know I'm not alone! It's hard to tell if it's actually my period but will ring the doctors to be sure!

I had one once where I had bleeding and a lot of pain for three days every time I went for a wee. If it doesn’t stop after a few days I would go to the doctor.

Sorry to hear your experience it's almost like it's triggered a period, which is strange as I'd not had one for 4 months ... I'll keep an eye on it for a couple of days . Thank you for replying.

I’ve not had it after an ultrasound but I do find after a prolonged time of not bleeding everything causes spotting, so it could be something like that. Hope it’s subsided now!x
