Bleeding during sex

Hi all,

Sorry if this is too much information.

But I've been experiencing bleeding and pain during sex and I was wondering if this was normal ?

It is kinda scary and is putting me off of having sex with my partner.

Any information would be great

I also do not want to have sex due to pain . I have never had bleeding but pain. Please speak to your GP if worried best advice.

That is not normal. I had bleeding after sex. It was due to endometriosis but there are several possible causes. Call your GP.

I get bleeding and I feel discomfort rather than pain. Seen my GP and they said it likely caused by cervical erosion. Sounds scary but she said it’s very common. guysandstthomas.nhs.uk/reso...

She has referred me to a gynaecologist and said it is a simple day stay procedure to get it sorted. Definitely go and see your GP

I get this too and was told it's a symptom of pcos xx

I have pcos and endometriosis... Endometriosis can cause you to bleed during or and after sex and can cause painful sex . I bled alot after sex until I had surgery to unstick my ovary from another organ... I think you should seriously talk to your doctor about endometriosis. Unlike pcos it will not show up on scans ultrasound MRI etc so it can go undetected .

This happened to a work colleague of mine. I don't want to frighten you but bleeding during or after sex can be a major sign of something very SERIOUS, not necessarily related to Pcos. SEE YOUR GP ASAP, PLEASE X DON'T WAIT!! My friend left it 7 months! Matters progressed during that time and became much worse, phone your GP today xx
