Can I ask you what is the battle with your GP? I’d think your chances of conceiving are a stand-alone thing regardless of whether you were pregnant before, just depends more on age and if your body is in the best condition to boost chances :) But having a 5 year old already is fab and I guess a good sign too!

Thanks for your reply well obviously I have pcos but I never battled with my weight like I do now or never had acne. Know I can’t lose the weight my Hormone levels are really unbalanced and the acne I’m so self conscious of it the gp just keeps telling me diet and exercise and there is no specialist that can help so constantly frustrated and upset

Oh I can totally understand your frustration! I understand what the GP is saying as diet and exercise are especially important in PCOS but there is also symptom treatment too for acne, hair etc., and also things that can help with weight loss and hormone balance. Maybe they aren’t very well educated on it unless you’ve tried some of these already

I’m on Epiduo and that’s it for medication what other is helpful thing for the hormone imbalance

Well it kinda depends on your situation and best judged by someone who can see you’re individual situation. But there are things to help with ovulation if that’s an issue in pregnancy, but weight will be on the list for that if your BMI is >30 usually

My bmi is over that I’ve tried orlistat and diet but my go took me off them because they never made a difference I didn’t lose nothing. It’s fertility and weight that’s a issue I don’t over eat or eat bad things but anything I do eat I never lose I’ve tried slimming world it just doesn’t want to go this weight 🤦🏽‍♀️ Is there anything gp could help with

Look at the PCOS diet support and 30 day challenge on Facebook, so many ladies have managed to conceive following the diet - it is a free challenge and one has just started.

Has your partner had a sperm test yet, if not it may be worth getting one done.
