I have active EGPA and had Covid vaccine at 11am on Friday. By 5pm I was feverish temp 38.8 and flu like symptoms. I am in benralizumab and newly introduced mycophenolate. The former takes out the eosinophils and the latter the T cells. I have just finished IV steroids I wonder if anyone else had any post Covid vaccine reaction?
Hi Elaine RH I’ve got canteaous vasculitis. And the answe to yr question, I had my Astra Zeneca Jab fri 910 am and by 5 o clock I was ill with all systems that you are displaying,
I’m on mxt and steroids so I reckon getting ill was a gd response from are immune system as on the nxt day I was flat, and it gave me a few symptoms off a flare but today I’m a lot better, if the jab made us like that,we wouldn’t fare to well with COVID but like you I worried a bit, but I’m ok now il speak with the gp just in case

Hi, I have GPA and I had my vaccine on Friday - it complete floored me. I’ve had a migraine for 2 days solid, a temperature with shivering and skin hurting. My whole body hurt, so much so I could barely walk, it’s been a horrible couple of days.
I have read that this is our immune system responding to the vaccine. I had headaches, chills and joint pain. I’m not on any immune suppressant at the moment as rituximab has knocked my immune system out. I know people that have been floored by their jabs and they are not on any immune suppression. I think we all respond differently. I hope you feel better soon. X
Hi, I had Pfizer vaccine 6 days ago and I have been very unwell ever since. I was told at the time to ring the hospital if my temperature reached high or cannot breathe easily. So far I don't have severe situation with either of them. But over all I can do is bare minimum. I am only on Hydroxychloroquine having taken so many years to wean myself from prednisolone and all other medications...Awful taste in my mouth and pain in all sorts of odd ways. Hot and cold... also my tongue has turned dark purple over all with some even darker spots. So rather feeling disturbed.
But fingers crossed this is the case of our immune system working hard to fight Covid.
I think I am having a mini Covid symptoms.
I am trying not to worry. Giving myself another week and if it doesn't get any better, I will get in touch. Do keep us posted.
Hi Elaine RH, I was diagnosed EGPA seven years ago and I am on mycophenolate . I had covid vaccine on Saturday morning and had same symptoms as you for couple of days. Today I feel all okay.
Hi..I had Pfizer and haveEgpa. Only experienced mild head headache and arm pain. On prednisolone and mycophenol.
Hi ElaineRH, I have EGPA for 7 years. I developed rashes all over my face three days after my vaccination. They disappeared after six days and I am feeling all good now. I am on Mycophenolate since diagnosed. Everyone’s body reacts differently to the vaccine however the symptoms are temporary and the vaccine is for a longer term. Hope your symptoms disappear soon.
