Do you all just ask the doctor? Not sure how to bring it up.

In what country do you live? In the USA, if MM is legal in your state, it must be prescribed by a physician certified to do so. It is a bureaucratic process; in New Jersey . As an example, you must find a doctor who is certified to prescribe; you will need medical records to justify why you need it. There is paperwork involved in purchasing a license to buy from a special dispensary; there is a 1 month wait (or less) to receive your license card. You need to take 2 days of education about usage. And you are limited in how much you can buy per month. The whole process is not cheap.

My daughter has been granted a license to buy it for RA. She tells me it is an excellent anti-inflammatory and pain killer. There are different strains of the plant extract that are best for different problems ; you can be advised what is best for your problem at the dispensary ( not an ordinary drug store).

On the other hand, many people find relief from cannibus oil which is not psychoactive; you do not need a prescription and it is legal everywhere. Available on the internet under CBD oil.

Much depends on where you live. I have been thinking about it myself, but NJ is on track to legalize it fot recreational use. If that happens, anyone can buy it without a prescription, but there will be limits on how much you can buy in a day.

So it depends on your country, and if you live in the USA, it depends on your state.

I have wondered the same thing! Has anyone any experience of using this for vasculitis symptoms and if so which ones and did it help?

I know someone who's taking a medicine version of it. She has advanced MS.

I live in Canada and yes it helps but it's a far cry from man made pharmaceuticals. It works and you play with different strains and it's what I call a more natural approach to managing pain. Definitely worth a try but make sure to don't over do it. Start small.

I’m In California where marijuana is legal both medicinally & recreationally. I began taking CBD oil with THC, an 18:1 ratio, 3 months ago for post surgery pain. The 2nd month I moved up to a 8:1 ratio & the 3rd month to a 4:1 ratio. That is supposed to be the optimum dosage for inflammation & possibly autoimmune diseases. The pain is no longer an issue. I have ANCA vasculitis, p-ANCA MSA Positive, with kidney involvement. I was diagnosed 4 years ago & have been in remission for approximately 3 years. My last blood work was almost 1 month ago, after taking the CBD/THC for 2 1/2 months. My kidney function results were greatly improved. It could have been a fluke & my doctors aren’t allowed to speculate as they are regular allopathic doctors. But they took me off azathioprene & want me to have monthly blood work to monitor for flares. This gives me the opportunity to see if my kidney function remains this good while taking the CBD/THC oil. If you can get the CBD/THC oil I’d say give it a try, otherwise you might at least try CBD oil without the THC.

I think in modern times, the stigma of marijuana and the laws made by politicians to ban it , who have no medical training, has been a shame. It has been used as a medicine since ancient times. My daughter who suffers from RA, has stopped all other drugs, and says she has no pain whatsoever and functions with a busy schedule. Like with any substance, you are not going to drive or operate dangerous machinery with it.

Frankly, I think it is much safer than alcohol. A TV doctor for CNN, said that there is not one reported death from marijuana according to his rigorous research.
