Hello, After a disaster on Metavive Pro recommend by my then functional Dr (Sept 24- Jan 25)-having had no hypo symptoms on NDT (Armour then ERFA) for 25 years- I returned to Erfa mid Jan and by early March was feeling my old self with CFS symptoms only (still horrible but the hypo symptoms had gone).A couple weeks later the hypo symptoms started to return after I started a new Erfa batch and I have been feeling worse ever since, despite a small increase in Erfa from mid Feb of 15mg.

I have read the ERFA batch in question has affected other people and am thinking about trying compounded NDT.

I would appreciate opinions and experiences with compounded NDT, especially from Roseway.

My relevant vitamins and minerals are all at a good level so I don't need info on that. In fact they are all much better than when I didn't have hypo symptoms pre Metavive disaster.

Tests done using NDT test protocols on here.

Test Results 5/3/25 (when the hypo symptoms started to resolve)

TSH. 0.426

FT3. 5 (3.1-6.8)

Free Throxine 14.3 (23-22)

Test Results 7/4/25 (feeling pants on new batch)

TSH 0.23

FT3. 4.8

FT4. 15.6

Am wondering if this Erfa batch has lower T3:T4 ratio and if compounded NDT will be reliable.

Other Possibly Relevant Info:

1. I started taking Erfa properly (empty stomach 60mg 6am then nothing til 10am) 30mg 2pm away from food, supps, coffee from mid Jan 25 (for the last 25 years I had been taking 60mg Erfa 9am then drinking coffee, eating and taking supps including iron, before I was aware!)

2. I had a very nasty virus then 2 incredibly stressful weeks at the time of hypo symptoms returning in mid March.

Thanks in advance.

It might also be worth getting tested for vitamin and minerals. I think I have come across people who believe their B12 was wiped out by viruses. Best get tested ferretin, folate, B12 and vitamin D. If any of those have dropped you may not be able to make use of the thyroid hormones.

I didn't know that about viruses and B12. Thank you.

Hi Dubstar❤️

I'm taking roseway ndt compound, I started it July last year after 5 years trying the synthetic T4, T3 which never agreed with me..[ I have reactivate colitis and I'm lactose intolerant] so I always had gastric issues which lead to bad absorption of the synthetic T4, T3, my thyroid levels were always terrible.

When I joined roseway I mentioned all my problems with synthetic T4, T3 and my colitis/lactose intolerance, they made me a batch up without nasty fillers, and I've had no gastric issues since taking the compound in July 2024.

I started off low at 1/2 a grain and have now built up to 1 and 1/2 grains, my thyroid levels are now in range, the best being my T3 at 5.2 , I've never had it at that level on synthetic T4, T3 .

So all in all this is to my mind the best thyroid medication I've been on and the only one which has given me the best results gastric wise and thyroid level wise👍

If you have any further questions don't hesitate to ask❤️

Hi, thanks for replying. I am so pleased to hear compounded ndt is working so well for you.

I have ordered some, also without all the nasty fillers. I'm hoping it will get me back on track after Erfa which although ndt hasn't been very reliable. All the best
