Hi All,
So I decided to get my Thyroid levels tested after just under 6 weeks on 1 1/4 grain of NDT as I have been feeling awful since starting the higher dose (Obsessive, night sweats, Constantly anxious).
My range on NDT Grain 1 was as follows:
TSH 3.12 mIU/L Range: 0.27 - 4.20
T4 13.6 pmol Range: 12 -22
T3 5.3 pmol Range: 3.1 - 6.8
My antibodies had not been tested on this run.
Latest results on NDT 1 1/4 Grain, test done at a different lab:
TSH 0.881 uIU/mL Range: 3.1 - 6.8
T4 12.6 pmol/L Range: 12 - 22
T3 4.82 pmol/L Range: 3.1 - 6.8
Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies (TPO) >1300 kU/L Range: 0 - 60
Thyroglobulin antibodies (TgAB AT) - 31 kU/L Range: Positive > 4.5 Negative < 4.5
My thyroid anti-bodies have never been above 400 and are usually in the 100's.
I dropped back to 1 Grain of NDT yesterday after having my bloods done, as I knew something was off.
The last time I saw my Endo, he asked me to do several other tests that aren't thyroid related before my next appointment. I'm now booking in for an urgent appointment for review due to the results from my latest thyroid tests. Now my question is, could my Thyroid levels going out of whack impact the results of the other tests he has requested?
I'm trying to figure out if I should do them now or if it would be pointless. The other tests he has requested are:
LFT
RMIN
25-Vitamin D
Methylmalonic acid and red cell folate
Diamine Oxidase Activity
Fasting homocysteine
Fasting lipids
Fasting glucose
Thank you.
